Card payments. We send an invoice from our accounting system, Xero, with a link to pay through Stripe. You enter your card details with Stripe, not with us. Please never send card details by email.

We do not record telephone calls. We do not ask for identity documents or sensitive information (such as health or political views), and we do not make decisions about you by purely automated means. We send our newsletter only to people who have signed up for it. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we use only what we need, in ways you would expect, and you can object (section 6). If you do not give us the details we need, we may not be able to answer your enquiry or fulfil your order.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who act for us under contract: Microsoft (email), Xero (accounting and customer records), Stripe (card payments), Shopify (our website, and payments if the website checkout is ever used), MailerLite (newsletter), our banks, accountants and IT support. Stripe also uses payment information under its own privacy policy, for example to prevent fraud.
  • Carriers and customs: UPS and Royal Mail receive your name, address, telephone and email to deliver and obtain a signature; customs authorities receive what customs paperwork requires.
  • Google and Microsoft, for analytics and advertising measurement (section 7), in some cases under their own privacy policies.
  • The police, regulators and courts, where the law requires or where needed to prevent or detect crime or fraud.
  • Professional advisers, and a buyer of our business if it is sold.

4. International transfers

Some providers store or access information outside the UK (for example Microsoft, Google, Stripe, Xero and Shopify in the USA or Canada, and MailerLite in the European Union), and deliveries and payments abroad involve carriers, customs and banks in other countries. We rely on UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum in the provider's terms, or the transfer being necessary to perform our contract with you. Ask us if you would like more detail.

5. How long we keep it

Information How long
Orders, invoices, payments, delivery records and related correspondence Six years after the end of the financial year of the order
Enquiries that do not lead to an order Up to 3 years after our last contact
Photos or videos you send us While we use them
Newsletter Until you unsubscribe; we then keep your email on a "do not contact" list
Website analytics (Google Analytics) 14 months

We may keep information longer if we need it for a complaint, claim or investigation, or the law requires it.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it to you or another organisation. You can object to uses based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time. Where we rely on consent (the newsletter and cookies), you can withdraw it at any time. Some rights apply only in certain circumstances; for example, we must keep tax and accounting records.

To use any right, email sales@armortek.co.uk. We may need to confirm who you are. We will reply within one month, or tell you if we need up to two months more for a complex request. There is normally no charge. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the link in any newsletter.

7. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are needed to make our website work and are always set. Where the law requires your agreement, including in the UK and the European Economic Area, our cookie banner asks first, and analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you accept. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of any page, or in your browser's settings. Elsewhere the banner may not be shown; you can still refuse these cookies through "Cookie preferences" or your browser.
