The Sd.Kfz. 222 Leichter Panzerspähwagen remains one of the most aesthetically striking reconnaissance vehicles of the Second World War, With its sleek, multi-angled hull and its distinctive hexagonal open-topped turret, it was originally designed to provide German divisional reconnaissance units with high speed and four-wheel-drive agility, 

The Armortek Sd Kfz 222 was last produced almost 20 years ago and will feature four wheel drive and four wheel steering as per the original. In addition, for our 2026 release we will completely rework the suspension to feature prototypical sprung suspension with dampers and will feature pressed steel wheels as on the Series 1 4x4 car we made

The kit is expected to ship in Mid Summer 2026

Armortek's 1:6 scale Sd Kfz 222 is sold as a kit for assembly and can be turned into an Radio Controlled (RC) Tank through the addition of option packs.

OPTION PACKS AVAILABLE:

Option packs bring the model to life through adding Remote Control (RC) Capabilities:

The Motion Option pack adds drive through a front and rear differential to all 4 wheels as well as 360 degree turret rotation.
The Sound Option adds real life sounds to the model - including engine starting, driving, shutdown, main gun firing and machine gun firing.
The Smoke Option pack adds exhaust smoke to the tank. When idling the volume of smoke reduces and then increases again as the tank drives off.
The Light Option pack adds front lights controlled via an RC transmitter.

Option packs are sold separately.
