The Mark IV is back: pre-orders are now open

Pre-orders for our limited-edition WW1 Mark IV are open from today. It is our first run of the Mark IV since 2015, and the kits are due in spring 2027.

What's new for 2027

  • Male and Female in one kit. The kit comes with the parts for both versions, so you choose which to build: the Male with a 6-pounder gun in each side sponson, or the Female with five Lewis guns.
  • Brushless drive. The drive is updated from brushed to brushless motors.
  • All metal, around 80–90 kg before electronics.

Price and ordering

The early-bird price is £4,395 plus VAT and shipping (outside the UK, local taxes may apply on import). To place your pre-order, email sales@armortek.co.uk. Like all our kits, the Mark IV is a limited edition: once they are sold out, they are gone.

The tank that proved the idea

The Mark IV first saw action at Messines Ridge in June 1917 and, with around 1,220 built, was the most numerous British tank of the First World War. At Cambrai on 20 November 1917, 378 fighting Mark IVs went into action, and in April 1918 a Mark IV Male fought the German A7V ‘Nixe’ in the first tank-versus-tank action in history.

Coming next: M1A2 Abrams pre-orders open on 2 November 2026, when we will confirm its price. Join our newsletter to hear first.
