Good morning everyone, lovely morning here in Mid-Wales, first frost arrived. Thermals at the slope, heating on, my heating bill jumped by two hundred pounds in one month.....what the****.
Decided to move both Panther and Elephant into the garage for Winter storage. I have removed some of the internals, batteries etc,. With the Elephant I tentatively weathered the hull. Not at all like my original ideas, never mind, something for the Spring....sir.
Looking forward to following all the new builds.....come on lads, get posting...Mick :)

Good morning everyone, yes ladies and gentlemen....I am still here. Time to re-arrange location of the Panther and Elephant so should the mood take me I will be able to more easily.... play with my toys.
The Panther first, install two fully charged batteries and check electronics....you just know all will be well...it is after all Armortek. Once the checks are complete park the Panther up for easy access. Drop a cover over to protect from dust and her modesty.
The Elephant was a somewhat bigger challenge....being ensconced on an old cut down cupboard unit, which should have been discarded years ago. Nevertheless, served a useful purpose. The trip down and onto my trailer caused a tremor and rapid heartbeat....again not a worry. I should, by now, have more faith in my abilities.
There appears to be much more space in the garage, although I have removed the old unit, we have a waste disposal site close by.
Posted a collection of photographs...I know how you guys like your pictures :)
I follow your builds and and endeavours. Armortek goes from strength to strength. Best wishes to everyone...Mick

Wonderful to hear from you Mick, pictures always appreciated. 8)
I do hope I can stay as focused as yourself with this super hobby.
Show season's upon us and I seem to be abroad each time the dates are announced. Hopefully next year. I'll have to make do with the local model boat club open area during the weekly meets.
I'll have to ask you how your X sub sailed if you managed to get it in the water. 8)

Good morning John, thank you for your post. Regarding the X51, although nearing completion I moved it on, along with other models. More recently, my eyes are dim (cataracts) so modelling is somewhat restricted. As the saying goes, ' old age does not come on it's own'.
I enjoy the various builds and check in with the Forum every day. Like yourself, I had hoped to attend local car and vintage shows with one of the tanks this year, we will see how that idea goes. I am blessed with a strong six foot four tall son who lives local and is a real help in times of need. Driving is not an option. I am soon to be placed on the waiting list for cataract removal. General health is reasonable for my age, enjoy it while you may.
I like the way Armortek goes from strength to strength, I wish all who work there well. New ideas and models are boundless, so plenty to read about.

Best wishes John, time to watch the Coronation, who doesn't like a soldier in uniform....Mick

Nobody does it better, almost feel sad for the rest....baby we're the best. Not quite the words, but we certainly do a good military spectical most can only dream about

Good luck to Charlie and Cammy.

I do hope the eye op goes well.
We'd never know from your builds that you we're being held back, age creeps up on us all but you certainly look like you make the best of it.
A shining light to us all.

Shame that the X51 has moved on, (loverly build) though on our 12 deep pool there's always a sense of foreboding as boat sinks to new depths.
And the euphoria when it returns back.
(Bit like Harry really) :D

Looking forward to seeing the Elephant and Panther models out and about.
