Panther Jagdpanther tracks

Post by vincent hung shu yue »

I plan to upgrade my panthers and Jagdpanther track as above. Which is fit for Armortek without any modification. Will come with all pins and collars. I still don't know the cost. Each set will have 200 tracks . The estimate cost will around 500 pounds. The material is steel and iron . Any body who is interest can PM me. Only 20-25 sets will be produced. And I need 7 sets only.

The inner diameter will little bit small so you can fix it with a hammer and it wouldn't come out of the pin.

Hi Vincent,

Your links and pins look great, the guide horns with the holes are ace and so are the chevrons.

Talking about the chevrons...the squares seen on the outer pairs I guess is from the casting process and for us to remove?
No big deal and an easy fix with a dremel and a file.

You asked for suggestions of any improvement and if possible add the raised edge at the ends seen here in this photo:

Thanks for taking on the task making as accurate as possible and suitable for driving fitting the Armortek Panther/Jagdpanther tanks, much appreciated.

Kind regards
Kent

Hi Vincent,

"Steel and iron" tracks would be a great Panther upgrade. Are they investment ( lost-wax ) castings or die-castings?

Kind regards
Fabrice

Hi again Vincent,

One other thing that come to my mind is if would be possible to add the casting letters?
Different foundry's had their own letters/numbers and here is a good photo of one:

It says:
cbV
MV

Never mind the grousers, that would be much to complicated but the cast letters would be nice.

Hi Vincent,

Very nice initiative and interesting subject. I´m interested in a set (I´ve sent you a pm). Just one question - what dimension do you have from center of one trackpin to the other (the CC between trackpins)? Should be 155/6 = 25,8 mm in 1/6 scale.

Also heads of trackpin´s should not be flat but rounded - if possible.
