I used the CNC machining center in the morning to adjust some of the height of the drive gear for the turret.
Yesterday, the turret was rotated 360 degrees at the highest angle of main gun, and I checked it carefully, and there was a slight interference, so I adjusted this part precisely.
The gear I bought three ready-made gear was 20mm high and I modified it to fit my Chieftain as shown in the drawing.
The results will be checked after work today.

Although it was done by hand, today I installed a machined gear, did interference tests, and did a recoil test.
The results are satisfactory.
The pressure switch arrived in two months. :mrgreen:

Today, I modified P&ID and ordered materials to create a recoil specific smoke system using an electronic cigarette coil and a 9V battery.
The power system has been isolated and instant operation is possible, so I look forward to the results after completion.
I wrapped the tape and re-recorded the video so that I could see the amplitude well in the recoil manual motion test.

Today, I drew P&ID in two ways, based on the inline smoker that will be applied to the recoil system.
First, I assumed that inline smoker reacts immediately and there is a delay in smoke generator.
In the event of a delay in the smoke generation, the micro sequence was placed in the recoil channel, and when given the main firing signal, the inline smoker was first heated, and then the existing systems were sequentially and everything happened at the same time.
The slip ring has a limited channel which allows the battery position to move to the body or turret to control the inline smoker.
The results are likely to be made and tested before being determined.
To do this, parts ordered three months ago are arriving one after another.

Thank you for complimenting me very well.
I think you're the artist who reinvents Chieftain with exquisite detail.
Today I am placing the parts in the turret so that they are sequentially P&ID-like.
I think it's a good thing that the most important actuators in this renovation are able to track their normal positions. I wish the next two weeks to finish the modified functional test.
In particular, I hope that the concept of stabilization will work well again.

Still following your professional work Youngjae. Quite impressed.

What is that small black box that has Yaw, Roll and Pitch written on it? Is that going to be your electronic gyro? I have an impression that I have seen it before but just can't remember where.

It's 3-axis flight stabilizer controller for RC airplanes. I came across it when I was researching which gyro to use for my experiments. Have you used it before?

My Gyro is thinking of two cases.
First of all, I want to adjust the sensitivity of each displacement by using a test bed that can measure the angle of the elevator (pitch) - main gun, rudder (Yaw) - > turret motor. All signals are PMW, so I expect that it will be possible.
If this doesn't work, the second is ModeMCU + MPU5060 standard GYRO.
I think there will be no problem with either and I will be able to solve the problem enough.

I am now thinking about how to compensate for any delay that occurs between the operation of a 9V main gun dedicated smoker using the electronic cigarette I make and the operation of the air purged after the operation of the air cylinder and LED lights.

The stabilization of the main gun may not be such a difficult problem because it is the relationship between the speed of the linear actuators that will come soon and the gyro.
Let's wait and see what happens. :mrgreen:

Today, I drew a conceptual diagram of the collision prevention system with the main gun and the rear deck.
The optical sensor distinguishes the collision zone from the free zone in two distinct colors, black and white.
When the turret enters the collision zone, optical sensing signals will be sent to the MCU to determine the location value of the analog gyro in advance and return to this value.
However, if the 3-axis Gyro for airplanes implements horizontal and vertical stability, I will skip this collision prevention system.
Apart from using analog Gyro in the Aruduino system, the collision prevention system is easily resolved.

Fascinating work Youngjae, I have not even thought about the collision zone! Have you thought about accidental collision and the damage that may cause to the drive, will you be using a similar device that's now used on the Armortek barrel elevasion/ depression circuit?
This system of yours is quite breathtaking! 8)

I don't have anything special to do today, so I'm going to talk to you about a few things.

2 years ago, there was a collision of a Goliath Crane in the shipyard where I work, and I had an experience of casualties.
After that, it became so natural for us to examine the collision of all the instruments in action.
If the turret is rotated with such an extension of the thought, the main gun and the rear deck may collide and therefore the prevention system is considered.
My lab is working on various cases to maintain this level or to avoid impulses.
I make a sloshing machine and have a lot of discussion with my colleagues about the stabilization system that waves affect the ship.
In the meantime, I received expert opinion that first of all, it is right to use the airplane Gyro and the Arduino.
But the most important thing was the speed of the final actuator, so I thought it would be reasonable to install the actuators I planned and set the next step.
I prepared this actuator three months ago for 50mm, I placed an order for 75mm in advance, and I finished designing a hydraulic one.
However, due to COVID19's influence, the endless waiting was still going on, and fortunately, I'm now able to track the shipment.
Now, I am considering collision prevention in case I replace the driver-controlled controller with the airplane Gyro to Arduino Uno, while planning the vertical and horizontal stabilization with the recoil that I had planned for the first time, waiting for the actuators to arrive.
Anyway, the most important thing right now is the linear actuators.
Once again, the stabilization of the tank is possible at 1/6 scale. :mrgreen:

Youngjae, your project is ambitious and a lot of us are following, hoping very much that you succeed. You're certainly devoting a lot of effort to it.

I did a lot of work on stabilisation, barrel smoke, recoil and linear actuators on my Centurion with mixed success. If it's of any help, may I offer two conclusions from my attempts?

Firstly, I found that an e-cigarette was not powerful enough to produce the right effect for barrel smoke. I tried something like this and it was useless.

I finally used a vape box, which is excellent and particularly because you can control the amount of vapour it produces and the length of time it smokes.

Secondly, I was only partially successful using model aeroplane gyros. The use case is different in our models, in an aircraft the platform is being stabilised in relation to its attitude in space, whereas in our tanks the gun is being stabilised in relation to a point in space while the platform moves independently. If I was going to try again, I would be looking at camera gimbal stabilisers, where the use case is much more analogous to our situation, ie you are stabilising the camera focal plane in relation to a point in space whilst the host platform moves. There are gimbal stabilisers available based on Arduino, such as the Alexmos boards:

Stephen White's experience has reduced my added effort.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I have been considering control through the combination of gimbal controller and arnoidu for some time.
Stephen has already given me an opinion on the sixth axis Gyro. As Stephen said, I agree that the most stable outcome would be to interpret and control the angular velocity.
First of all, I will set up a linear actuator that can respond immediately to any signal, apply all the cases and share them together in the best direction.
In addition, gimbal controllers and arduinos can be flexibly deployed to prevent collisions.
