May be a silly question but I assume all the tapped holes around the circumference of the driving cog take M3 hex bolts and nothing else? Noting in the notes I have found.

When you say "the driving cog" do you mean the sprocket (CE0303) ?

I don't think fasteners are provided for these holes - they should be studs with nuts, as per Tiger 131:

Sorry I did mean sprocket. Thank you for the clear photo I will now buy M3 studding and M3 nuts, although I may forget about the locking tabs.

Does anyone, please, know of a supplier of the mesh grills that were fitted over the engine grills for the early Tiger? Were these fitted in the factory or a field modification? They would help to hide the lack of (for now) engine detail .

By the way I do like the new release C8 Quad. Now I will need to save up for that.

The later kits had etch brass grill covers. Gill might be able to supply a set. Need a set myself also.

Latest pictures of the slow progress. Most of my time has been spent on lowering the rear deck. Lots of fiddly but interesting work, well worth the effort.

Having lowered the rear deck did you also take some off the top of the rear armour to make flush. You then need to lower the exhaust armour covers and shrouds. Exhaust stacks can be left in original place.

Looks good Dad,

I'm busy learning python and trying to work out where to put the computer. I think I'm getting one for free. People seem to have bought them then not known what to do with them.

I'm glad John is keeping your standards high ;)

I have to do another rear plate myself. I used a power file to reduce the last two.
Did you get square head bolts with your kit to fit the covers to the deck? If not, Gill can supply. It's worth sinking these a little further.

Thank you John for your helpful suggestions.
Working on suspension now. Some say swing arms should be set at 40 degrees the manual says 45 degrees, anyone have comments? In the case of the 40 degrees is that from the horizontal or the vertical?
