Hi Dale, do you mean the two small brackets securing the bottom of the bin to the turret. My bin is the kit bin upgraded by Steve. The kit bin had these brackets.
If interested in any parts used in my builds contact me at johnfitzsimons@msn.com for a price list.

Hi Dale,

Good to see your inspirational work again, keep the photos coming.

The Mid/Late Tiger I cupola was welded to the roof as can be seen here on the Kubinka Mid Tiger:

Please note the two-lined welding.
Can you create such my friend?
(Late Tigers with the thicker roof plate had one-lined weld but Mid with their thinner roof had two-lined)

Kind regards
Kent

Great photo Kent Thanks . I'll give it a go . One more question is the hatch fixed to the hatch hinge or does it spin around on the centre bolt Dale

Very nice work on your Tiger Dale, nice to follow.
Re double welds.
Most double welds into a corner are usually 3 runs.
The first straight into the root, then the lower one on top, then the top run.
Cheers
Phil

Hi Dale,

Don’t know for certain but my guess is it was fixed and didn’t spin as the Panther hatch didn’t.
Can’t see any point for it to spin but it is only my guess and that what I will make my own until new facts says otherwise.

Back to the welds...
Here is a drawing showing the later 7 prism cast cupola Late and Mid outfit to the roof.

Image

Please note all of you making a Late Tiger I that the 40mm roof was machined out 15mm (2,5mm in 1/6) so those cupola shall look lower then the 25mm roof ones.

One learns something new every day and fun it is...

Kind regards
Kent

the jeep and trailer look very nice and so does the tiger, you might stray off for a while but the lure of the armortek kit brings you back, i have enjoyed all your builds in the past, so keep the posts coming, its good to see some sunshine in the back ground while its grim here, also is noel cleaning his brushes ready to tackle the tiger, best regards simon manning.

Today i've added a deck shelf around the sides and front to support the deck I'll add my deck locking device later like I did on my last tiger using the front vent to lock it in place . Dale
