Feedback on a good trade: Armortek limber and Armorpax
Well, I'm the new owner of Andy's limber, which turned up today. A very easy and quick transaction, and an excellent quality build. It also came with loads of 'Gucci' - shells, shell cases and ammo boxes. So I'm very pleased, and all credit to Andy - a great bloke to deal with.
I've now got two limbers, as well as a Quad and 25-pdr. Why, you may ask ? Well, only 2/3rds of a Royal Artillery Regiment towed a limber and a 25-pdr - the other third towed two limbers for extra ammunition. You probably knew that anyway, but ....... and I've never seen anyone else's Quad hauling two limbers, so I thought it would be a nice thing to do, a good alternative to the 'normal' setup, and an interesting potential diorama. Incidentally, for those of you who've never studied the limber up close, it is a lovely model - one of Armortek's unsung triumphs.
All the best,
Chris
