Front Axle Assembly

Post by Armortek » Thu Oct 06, 2016 12:39 pm

There is a drawing error on drawing number 9, Front axle. The differential is shown with crown wheel on the left hand side. It should be assembled with the crown wheel on the right hand side.

Additionally it is essential to ensure that the two springs EM0515 are fully seated in the output drive cups, of the differential.

Hi Shaun.
The springs are to keep the half shafts in the front wheels as they turn to steer.Regards Walter.

Thanks for the heads up on the front axle. I suppose the axles turn in the opposite direction.

Here's a chestnut, don't put 3mm x 14mm pins in the rear half shafts as the bible says, they won't fit down the 12mm rear axle tube. Find some 3mm x 12mm in the parts bag, I'm sure there's a few extras.

Go to Joe and Johns Quad and see how you can hold the winch outer frame together.
