Re: Transmitter Systems
I use an older generation Brixl, which I am extremely happy with, and have managed to use up 23 channels. Not because it is necessary, but because it is fun with hatches that open etc. People love that!

Specktrum DX18 DSMX
I apologise if this has been covered! I am new to Armortek and this is my first post.
My question is will a spektrum DX 18 work with a 2017 Tiger with Motion pack, sound pack and smoke pack ? I do not have enough channels with the Carson radio fitted by the previous owner.
Regards Paul

Re: Transmitter Systems
Paul, hi. DX18 should be fine. Do look at the Knowledge Base Topics on radio selection and setup.

Re: Transmitter Systems
Has anybody have any experiences of using the German Commander unit to sync with the new Armortek electronic units (the red boxes)?
Especially the Commander SA-5000 Expert transmitter.

Re: Transmitter Systems
I recently replaced my trusty DX8 Spektrum,
with the new Flysky PL18 EV, the radio has 18 channels the receivers only reach 12 channels,
in the FGr12B receiver 1 channel is lost in order to use the telemetry,
I have to try the Ftr10 (10 Channels) which it should allow both the use of sensors / telemetry and the connection of an S-Bus channel expander at the same time,
to reach a total of 18 channels.
for now it seems to me an excellent remote control,
very comfortable and ergonomic,
and easy to program / use

The beauty of this radio is that it was born for the use of crawlers and / or trucks / operating machines,
it is not a radio born for airplanes.

Re: Transmitter Systems
I understand people are using the old Brixl model on Armortek tanks with no problems.
But what about the newer models such as Brixlcontrol 1.8 with 20er ?
Like to know :
What people normally use to control more than one tanks ?
Are they using one transmitter per model ?
or, One transmitter for many models ?

Re: Transmitter Systems
I am using a Brixl 20er decoder in one of my models, but I only have experience with the oldest silver electronics. Works nicely. Unfortunately, the long advertised 50A current measuring device never materializes, so it is lacking in telemetry for our purposes.

Re: Transmitter Systems
Hi,
I have multiple models on the same radio, although in the end I have 4 radios :-),
mainly I use a radio for tracked vehicles and 1 for wheeled vehicles,
soon I will eliminate at least 2 radios

Re: Transmitter Systems
Anyone got or have experience with the Radiomaster TX16S, it seems very similar to the frsky taranis or Horus x10 but a lot cheaper.
It’s got opentx so should be a good solution.

Re: Transmitter Systems
Hi,
I'm using my Graupner/ JR flight RC System with the transmitter MC 32 for all my models since more than 12 years without any problems. It contains also a telemetry system allowing currents up to 150 amps and, very important, the monitoring of the consumed battery capacity. As long as this system is functional I don't need an openTX system, where the general manual contains nearly 800 pages.......
