Panther Blank Firer

Post by Armortek » Wed May 21, 2008 10:14 am

The blank firer unit is mounted on a special spacer block in the Panther, and is secured using M6*40cap head screws. These screws are designed to engage with the mag house by a minimum of six threads. Due to a variation in flange thickness on the mount, there is a possibility that some builders may find that these screws are not long enough to achieve this minimum requirement. Please contact Armortek for replacement longer screws should this be the case.

Dear Armortek:

I purchased this unit from Glenn and have one other question. Was this unit a second generation one since I have seen video of one on youtube but does not look like the one I have. Do I need the extra spacer if I'm mounting this in a tiger tank? and what shell size Can I use?
Your time and effort is greatly appreciated.

Yves,

Thanks for the reply. But this plastic piece sticks out about about 1mm and prevents the barrel from sitting in the housing. I’m not sure if it’s glued in and I really don’t want to force it in unless I get the ok to do so. Did you have to push yours in? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Wael

Hello Weal,

For me it was no problem that the plastic white piece sticks a little bit out of the housing.
My drum turn ok in the housing.
If you are not sure you can use a bit of sand paper and sand it down a bit.

Hope this helps you.

Best regards Yves
