Thanks Robert
Did some work on the shock absorbers, installed them with a sping cut to the length I believe should work. Field test in the spring will show

Thanks Robert
Question to all the StuG III experts
The periscope opening have a sider to cover the opening when not in use - this makes perfectly sense
I have seen in some builds that the slider is cut into 2 pieces where the short part is being hinged. I have looked through various Stug III reference books and this is a quite common way to do it.
My questions is - Is the functionality of the hinged part being a shot deflector in a upright position as it does not cover the periscope opening when layed down
Se my mock-up pictures

Re: Steen's StuG 3 build thread
Looking good Steen.
I always wanted to do a Stug 3 but it is too close to all the work I've done on my Panzer 3 and I don't want to go through all that again.
Cheers
Tim
