Nice to follow your build Steen.
Great work you do.
What material are you using to make the weldlines?

Take care.
Robert

Where on panzerteam.dk battlefield today for the annual Christmas party and took the opportunity to use the drill machine in our workshop to bore out the holes for the brass netting to be fixed with 3mm scale bolts.

A Merry Christmas to you all from Denmark :D

Hello Steen, I'm just reading through some of the Stug builds on here. Did you have any trouble with the recessed bearings on the idler wheel? I think it was 'Roy's Stug build' that mentioned it.

Hi Keith
It was only that one of the idler wheels had the 6 holes on the wrong side.
Was an easy fix. Just used the existing 6 holes as master and drilled through, made the 3mm thread and sealed the wrong 6 holes

The bearings did fit smoothly into the idler wheels and are loctited as per the instructions
cheers

Some more pictures

Made threads in the idler wheel and also on the 2 air intakes for the bolts to fix the brass wire mesh

The fluid in the white cup is 90% alcohol. A tip to do problem free threads is to dip the thread cutter in alcohol for a smooth threading. The alcohol smoothes the aluminium

Here in Sweden we have this, and this alcohol make all cutting work in aluminium realy smooth.

Hello Steen,

Do you have problems with the trackhorns fitting on the rubber tyres?
Because i see a few wheels that dont fit properly?

Best regards Yves

Hi Yves
No, There are no problems with the roadwheels. It's because the stug is blocked up, so the track is actually just lying on the surface with 2 extra track links installed. The roadwheels are not touching the track.
