Re: Yves panther update
Yves,
I'm not quite sure where you got the idea to mill at an angle the backs of the Episcope covers. I do recall this as used on the late Tiger or King Tiger Cupolas, but never have I seen this with any of the Panther Cupolas. If I am wrong, please forgive me.
Regards,
Jack

Re: Yves panther update
Hello,
Did some work detail on the engine hatch.

Also started on the turret hatch, thats a lot of work, later i'am gonna put a servo on the hatch.

On the front plate of the panther i'am gonna change the letter box in to a ball mantlet.

Regards Yves

Re: Yves panther update
Yves,
Looking great, I'm thinking about changing hull MG to ball mount as well on mine. So following with great interest there. Is that a Panther G or KT ball mount you plan to use?

Hello,
Robert, is there a difference between the ball of a panther and a KT?
I have the ball mount of a KT, i thought it was the same.
Mark i have a special mill head to do this.
I will show pictures when i'am start on this.
Best regards Yves

Re: Yves panther update
Hello,
Thank you guys for the good comments, it was a lot of work
to make the hatch, in the future i make the hatch open and close with a servo.
Tomorrow i strip the panther hull for primer and drill out the front plate for the MG gun.
Also re-work on the backplate of the panther.
regards Yves

Re: Yves panther update
Yves,
Not sure if the KT ball mount would be different size - perhaps Kent can weigh in on that. Pretty sure the Panther A ball mount did not have the bullet trap grooves in it though like the KT or later "G" did. Worth a double check before cutting metal.
Your escape hatch looks great! I did this mod on my "G" and it added a lot of detail.
What book are you using for reference on the hatch? - that is nice picture to have!
Nice work,
Bob
