Christmas and New Year Greetings

Hi all.

May I be the first to wish Monique, Kian, all at Armortek and to all the builders and friends on this forum a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2018.

Re: Famo 18 tonner.

I assume like SDKFZ7 each tack will be driven individually by a motor which will make steering a bit easier. If that is the case perhaps someone could come up with a clever way of mixing the steering front wheels with controlling the tracks. It sounds easy but normal mixing is ok going forwards but ...

Hi Mick,

By putting the audio module up the front will you will able to access the volume control if needed, just a thought.

Re: Introduction and a couple of questions

hi Vince,

The Armortek module will supply the receiver power and if it's one of the new modules then you don't need an extra cable for power as the power is supplied through one of the speed control cables.

Yes I will have a look at it for you. I assume this is the 6EX that Chris was trying to get working.

Faun Tank Transporter

My latest project completed, not Armortek and 1/16th scale not 1/6th. Would have liked to do 1/6th but it would have been 13 feet long !! Tank is Leopard 2A6.

Re: Introduction and a couple of questions

Hi Vince, If you decide to use Spektrum radio gear then I would suggest that you go for the DX7 rather than the DX6 as the DX7 has more usable functions and has failsafe on all channels. I have been using Spektrum gear for about 5 years with Armortek models and have not had any problems. You will ne...

The Mark 1V Vince Abbott built for the film War Horse is now owned by Bovvy Museum. There is a video on Utube somewhere showing the build.

Re: Famo 18 tonner.

I hope prospective buyers realize that it will be approx 4 ft 6 inches long. The real thing being nearly 28 ft long.

Have just picked up a Futaba T6EX (2.4G FAST) with my Panzer 111.
Definately prefer Spektrums.
