Re: Mick's Grant

Good morning and thank you Mike. While lifting the turret a couple of days ago, I inadvertently pulled the gun 'flash' lead out of the recoil module. As a result, and because the option modules are way down on the bowels of the M3 I just could not reconnect the plug. I was obliged to remove the rear...

Re: Mick's Grant

Good morning everyone, just finished reading the Forum posts...some serious technical stuff going on. Back to the more mundane, the poor guy is beginning to complain of cramp and a certain numbness in his nether regions...Obviously, the seat/frame is a means to an end...he fell between the motors ye...

Re: Mick's Grant

Thank you John, I'm finding things to do at the moment. Constructing a makeshift seat for the driver, it's hidden from view and nowhere near the quality and expertise of Phil, yourself and the many other Armortek builders...I do my best....and I only have myself to please  Mick

Re: Mick's Grant

Good morning John, I purchased the complete kit and dive system from OTW last year. Drilled most of the flooding holes, however the Grant was forever in my mind. Eventually gave in and purchased the M3. Never looked back, a most enjoyable build. If I live long and prosper maybe revisit the X51, who ...

Re: Mick's Grant

Good morning everyone, well there you go....completed the Panther repaint, it's back under a dust cover for the time being, still far to 'cold' for her ladyship to transfer to the garage To continue with the M3 Grant build....mostly completed. I fired her up and happy to say, all sound and motion sy...

Re: Mick's Panther A

Good morning everyone, posting the latest photographs of my Panther repaint. An enjoyable little exercise. Being an elderly gent, it appears we, (my wife and I) will soon be 'confined to barracks'. As a precaution of course... Last time that occurred I was doing seven days CB at the LAD REME Paderbo...

Re: New option pack, heads up

Hello Steve, I had a similar issue when setting up my new modules on the M3 Grant. Adrian pointed this 'fix' out to myself in a PM. I thought this was just my problem. Thanks for posting. Mick

Re: Mick's Panther A

Morning everyone, sunny blustery day, managed to paint one set of wheels on the side that is not visible  Trying to leave some of the original camouflage visible under the 'snow effect'.
I will have to be careful this airbrush painting is addictive, ....Mick

Re: Mick's Panther A

Evening all, with some trepidation I lifted the hull in it's place for it's makeover, on the dinning room table. I am using a small motorcycle lift so the balance had to be just right. Anyway, she is in place, trembling in anticipation. I have of course, obtained all the usual permissions. Explainin...

Re: Mick's Panther A

Thanks Adrian, problem solved :) Wow, so many Forum posts, what is happening... The Panther decks are painted. Thought I would see how they looked back on the tank. I need to matt varnish...I have no intention of running 'My Precious' in any other than warm sunshine so the 'finish' is safe. Made a s...

Re: Mick's Panther A

Thank you Phil and Adrian, yes, the paint is removed very quickly once the water works through. The weathering white coat is easily removed by touch, so a final seal coat is absolutely required. The paint residue is also easily cleaned from the airbrush, you can do this while the spray coat dries. I...
