Re: John's Late Tiger 1

Just found some photos taken beside 131 at Bovington. http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac245/John_Fitzsimons/Armortek%20Late%20Tiger%201%20Build/DSC_0602.jpg http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac245/John_Fitzsimons/Armortek%20Late%20Tiger%201%20Build/DSC_0603.jpg http://i904.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Panzer parts by John Fitzsimons

I had made a set of storage boxes for the Ddkfz 222. I am not planning on adding them to the list of parts due to the low numbers of this model in circulation. Set of five boxes £180.

Re: John's 2nd Late Tiger 1 2007 release

It's been quite a while since I had time to work on my Tigers but have at last made some progress. Nothing new really. Just preparing some interior components. http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac245/John_Fitzsimons/Armortek%20Late%20Tiger%20%20No%202/DSC_0737.jpg http://i904.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: New engine for Tiger1

Very nice work. Are you going ahead with the 88mm gun also?

Have you used aluminium powder in the resin mix? Parts look great.

I have a set of Steve's Schürzen which he kindly gave me. I hope to start on the brackets soon. Waiting for the new Panzer Tracts book on the Panzer IV.

Re: Paul`s Panzer iv build (001)

I have a few of the achtung panzer books. The panzer IV book is not great. Covers a few versions so only about 3 pages on each. Drawings are not detailed and more like rough sketches. Their Tiger and Panther books are much better.

Re: Tiger 1 (Early Variant) 2004 #98 build

I have to do another rear plate myself. I used a power file to reduce the last two.
Did you get square head bolts with your kit to fit the covers to the deck? If not, Gill can supply. It's worth sinking these a little further.

Re: Tiger 1 (Early Variant) 2004 #98 build

Having lowered the rear deck did you also take some off the top of the rear armour to make flush. You then need to lower the exhaust armour covers and shrouds. Exhaust stacks can be left in original place.

The later kits had etch brass grill covers. Gill might be able to supply a set. Need a set myself also.

Re: Tiger 1321 rebuild

This is the one I use. Nasty stuff. Needs to be used with extreme care.
