Re: Early or mid ? Tiger 1 build by Phil Woollard

My impression is that a step drill is used for sheet metal.

Re: Early or mid ? Tiger 1 build by Phil Woollard

I'm going for the hl230 motor so which crank hole position do I use?
Page 40 of the Modeler's guide to the Tiger Tank gives a hint. For the HL230 (as I understand it), the hole closest to the edge of the starter plate is used for the starter shaft.

Your not wrong Adrian, should use a steady really but just skimming off the soft solder seems ok.
Or maybe a live center.

Hi Ivano There should be information here: http://tiger1.info/EN/Batteries.html Unfortunately David Bryden's website hasn't been working for the last couple of days. Managed to find a cached webpage with the pictures: https://web.archive.org/web/20120108063912/tiger1.info/EN/Batteries.html Hope this...

Re: M2.5 x 30 hex bolts, where to find?

Hi Scott I had the same problem when building my late Tiger 1 which uses the same kind of wheels as the King Tiger. You will not find commercial M2.5 X 30mm hex head bolts. At that time, these guys: https://www.ekpsupplies.com/ had something similar but it was a 7BA thread and one size smaller head ...

the camo is just a mesh scarf
Thanks Phil for that piece of information. Had to google it also as it was the first time I heard of these scarves. Now I know what to look for.

Re: Vince's Tiger 1 late variant 2017

Hi Roy First of all, thanks for the complement and now to answer your question. Etch Primer Coat This was sprayed on a previously prepared surface. All the edges of the part are first deburred. Then the surface is lightly keyed using sandpaper (I used 220 grit) and then the part is cleaned / degreas...
