Re: Wear on hull.

Thank you for your help fellas, but this brings me to another question...How do I scuff the outer bearing races so the locktite bonds to them?If tried a needle file and a scribe but neither seem to make much impression.I could put a diamond cutting disc on my dremmel if that's what I need to do. Re: Wear on hull.

Thank you Brian,I haven't had the chance to do any reading up on it but that sounds like a plan. Adrian,no I haven't,Is that the recommended way of doing it? I didn't pick up on that in the instructions Adrian but now I've read a few posts I can see that it's the correct procedure. IMG_20190426_2415...

Wear on hull.

Having run the tank around for a short while before painting I've stripped everything off the Hull sides to do some weld seams and paint. I stripped off the drive sprocket/gearbox,I cleaned the sides up and noticed there is evidence of the drive gear rubbing against the Hull side. IMG_20190425_3981....

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

It's quite difficult to be spontaneous with the Camoflage when there are so many wheels.I was thinking if putting tiger stripes but it isn't correct for this particular tank so that scuppered me.

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

Hehe! The toys of a grown man. Running the Tiger doesn't half hammer the paint on the wheels, presumably this is quite normal.I have noticed that some of the suspension arms have come loose on the torsion bars.I didn't intend doing much running so didn't go over the top tightening things up.I did mak...

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

I've had it running around under it's own power,I had 93 links either side but the tracks were too slack.I removed one link either side which was better but for some reason one if the false wheel bolts snagged. Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

The wheels, idler and sprockets seem to line up.I initially put 94 links on but ended up removing 1 link.I still need to do the other side.Ill put the motors in and see how it runs.

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

Allen, the 30deg tool.I initially just glued it but it kept coming apart, then I just bolted it but I didn't trust it to not move however tight the bolt was,so I did both.My original idea Wes to have the flat part against the Hull but the weld seams gave a false level,so I used it edge on on the outsi...

More torsion bar and wheel fitting. IMG_20190407_47261.jpg IMG_20190407_0462.jpg IMG_20190407_1453.jpg I made a little tool to get the 30 deg setting on the torsion bars but I forgot to take a picture of it.Ive put all the wheels on but I could not get the required 16.5 mm gap between the sprocket a...
