Wanted,new/unbuilt Pak 40.

If anybody has a Unbuilt Pac 40 that is surplus to requirements please could you let me know. My Nephew (16)is half way through his exams and ive hinted that if he does well I will help him buy a Pak 40 for him to build. As good a price as possible would certainly be less painful for me😁A Pak 43 woul...

Re: New build.

I love the way Eric Ho's Pak 43 looks so ill go along the same lines.Ime not sure how much ill have anodised and how much ill leave polished alloy. I think the secret to keeping it looking ok is staying on top of keeping it clean. The most dificult thing i have found to keep on top of cleaning it is ...

New build.

Ive bought a Pak 43 as a sort of practice build before i start my Tiger one build.I intend building the Pak 43 purely as a display so it will be finished in polished alloy and some parts Anodised. Its labour intensive because with having no paint to cover it up youve got to make a nice job. At the mo...

Re: Vince's Tiger 1 late variant 2017

Looking really good Vince,I havent touched my Tiger yet.Ive bought a Pak 43 which I'me going to finish in polished bare metal so any work i do cant be hidden under paint😲.I hope my Tiger goes together as nice as yours.

Re: New Member.

My new Pak 43/41 arrived today, its an impressive bit of kit.My plan is to finish it in bare metal with parts mostly anodised a dark blue/black or polished bare aluminium. The mild steel will be either sprayed or gun blued. Ime undecided weather to include the detail kit that Ian is selling on here.Im...

Lift table/posting pics.

Hi all, This maybe a silly question but a friend of mine is going to modify a motorcycle lift for a work table. My Tiger 1kit arrives today  Without pulling all the bits out of the boxes could somebody tell me the gap between the tracks so that he knows how wide to make the lift table. Thanks ...

Re: Preparing for Tiger 1 late variant build

Thanks for the offer Vince,I realise ill need to learn some new techniques and change my mindset for detailing tanks, the Brass soldering has given me some ideas i can think about.Im not an engineer in any shape or form but i can fabricate brackets to fit exhausts to a chopper and jobs like that so i...

Re: Preparing for Tiger 1 late variant build

Thanks for the reply Vince, the soft soldering is a good idea,my friend looked at your measurements and said he could possibly machine it out of one piece then sand blast it to look like a cast piece. Im thinking that as i am a bit of a ludite i might do my build thread on facebook and just put a lin...

Re: Preparing for Tiger 1 late variant build

Hi Vince, what did you make the bumpstop bracket out of?is it a functional part or just for the looks? You have made a really nice job of them  dont suppose you fancy making me some? Ive got a friend with a milling machine who owes me a favour so I could possibly bully him into making me some. R...
