Re: Commissioning a scratch built model.

In the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa is Montgomery's 'Woody' some-time used command car.

I don't know all the details, but it was an interesting exhibit. It strongly resembles your bespoke request.

Very neat project!

My 17 pounder just arrived...

It's a bit down on the kit list...

But love this model!

Re: How palatial is your workshop?

Well, it'll take me a couple of days to put together some pictures but the phrase "Hold my pint and watch this" comes to mind!

Re: Marcus's 25 pounder

Marcus: Very interesting photograph! I was not aware that the same Clinometer used on the Vickers... was used on the 25 Pdr.! https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1757/42536224771_df3159b751_c.jpg I restored one of these Clinometers to go with my two Vickers... one smooth brass jacket, one fluted jacket. ...

Re: Wanted - Sd.Kfz 222 kit

I'll contact the U.S. Seller... and appreciate your input. Last thing I would want to do is stand in the way of someone who was 'first' in line! I'll see if this works for me... but this is the armor kit I've really loved and would like to build! If there is ever anything I can do for you... please ...

Re: Some Detail Photos -- Ghost Engine and Chassis

A few more as we get an engine ready to go into the chassis... https://image.ibb.co/csWwJT/ghost_engine_2.jpg Front cover (and sump) on and distributor tower loosely-fitted. Next comes the water side rails and water pump... pictures of those in a couple of days. https://image.ibb.co/cZZYyT/ghost_eng...

Re: Wanted - Sd.Kfz 222 kit

The OP has priority on this one...

But I am in the U.S. and would be interested if he falls through or if shipping is not an option, etc.

PM me... again, the Original Poster, IMHO, has first dibs. But I am interested, too.

Of course, there is always this... Atomic Annie! The 1/6th scale tactical nuke projectile detail kit would be quite fun, too!

Re: Some Detail Photos -- Ghost Engine

While at it... here are some details of engine and the chassis ready for paint... It's kind of like an Armortek, only bigger! https://image.ibb.co/f0wtf8/armortek_engine_4.jpg Note how the axle is 'stitched' together with dozens of small bolts. Massive bit of unsprung weight! https://image.ibb.co/dK...

Awesome!

Though I think that a Pheasant would be a pretty easy path to fulfillment... combination of two kits!

Have you guys followed Dave's Build?

One more image for tonite... https://image.ibb.co/knTt5y/armortek_ghost_motor_4.jpg Fitting pistons to blocks... mainly to show detail of underside of blocks. As a matter of arcane knowledge... RR used a Piston-Guided Rod... it was not guided on the crankshaft. So the piston/rod must be centered on ...
