Re: My new Subwoofer

This is on my todo list too. What voltage/current does this amp require? Assuming it is an active speaker.

Re: Tiger 1321 rebuild

Thanks Paul, for the Research Squad book is the electronic version any good? In theory higher res photos?

I blotted a romantic city break with my wife by mainly reading the Tiger 1 Haynes manual.

Re: Isolator switch.

Has anyone tried the MCBs used in consumer units? http://www.screwfix.com/c/electrical-li ... cat7230022

High rating at cheap prices and you get fuses and switches in one? Voltage rating total overkill but that doesn't matter?

Re: Old style smoke unit retain heating element

Thanks Stephen,

That sounds a very elegant solution. Will have to work on my "knitting" to make it look tidy.

Re: Old style smoke unit retain heating element

Thanks Adrian - I'll try and cobble something together then. I've also blown a few fuses with the connections to the element fusing on the brass tube.

Sorry Mark - I should have posted a picture really.

Old style smoke unit retain heating element

Hello,

At the moment the heating element is just held in by jamming it into the brass tube. Am I missing some way to make sure it definitely doesn't come loose? Seems like it could cause a lot of damage it comes out.

Cheers

Great. I can benchmark your work against Steve Winstone's.

Re: Working early Tiger 1 headlamps?

Wow. We were going for stand off scale these might make the rest of the tank look a bit poor ;)

Does look outside our budget.

Working early Tiger 1 headlamps?

Hello,

Does anybody make working headlights for the early Tiger 1? We have some that came with the kit but they look too difficult to hollow out etc.

Are those the only external lights that were standard on the Tiger 1? I think we are basing our model on the 131.

Many thanks

Re: New Forum Suggestion

Much better! Thanks.

Will there be an update on etiquette? I'd quite like to go back to short "well done" comments and more possibly off topic stuff.

Cheers

It was the great picture of Mick's Panther and reference to his Comet that made me wonder about this again.

Re: Mick's Panther A

Stupid question and sorry if hijacking this post but... Why did the engineers feel the need to give the Panther and Tiger 1 such complicated overlapping wheels? The Panzer III etc had much more sensible system which seems to have come to dominate. Comet, Centurian, M26, T-34 etc? The weight too grea...

Re: Forum Use

I am a techie so maybe guilty of seeing this through technical eyes. I've been without internet access for the last week so it does make it easy to miss interesting posts. Does this forum software support email subscription digests? I do find the image upload/rendering a bit painful. I don't want an...

Re: Forum Use

I think it is a simple usability problem with this forum software. It is pretty old and creeky. I use Google Groups quite a bit and it is free, much more usable and more powerful. I'm sure there are lots of other options out there too. Sorry for more digression from tanks. I've been doing web stuff ...

Re: To much smoke

Thanks. Lot easier to detect high loads than spikes etc.

btw I was amazed how much current gets drawn doing slow gentle turns on grass.
