Re: My new Subwoofer

Excellent. Bit hard to tell via youtube, laptop...

Any rattling? Much sound lost when the deck is on?

Cheers

Re: My new Subwoofer

Thanks Gerhard, That sub woofer looks more like my budget! I think I'll use one channel to drive a small mid/high range speaker and the other for the sub-woofer. I already have mono amps (and can upgrade the low frequency one if needed) and I can do the cross-over in the computer. Also apologies to ...

Re: My new Subwoofer

Hi Gerhard,

I was worried about power, rattling, space...

What would you recommend as the best balance to go for? Best return just having a few 100w subwoofer so those frequencies at least present?

Cheers

Re: My new Subwoofer

That is a tight squeeze. Please report back how it sounds, how much it rattles ;) I'm particularly interested if most of the sound comes via the engine cover.

Re: My new Subwoofer

Ah OK. Be interesting to learn how that works. I've never really understood why subwoofers have such high power ratings? Lot of air to move!? I've also been wondering what effect being in a metal box will have.

Cheers

Re: My new Subwoofer

This is on my todo list too. What voltage/current does this amp require? Assuming it is an active speaker.

Re: Tiger 1321 rebuild

Thanks Paul, for the Research Squad book is the electronic version any good? In theory higher res photos?

I blotted a romantic city break with my wife by mainly reading the Tiger 1 Haynes manual.

Re: Isolator switch.

Has anyone tried the MCBs used in consumer units? http://www.screwfix.com/c/electrical-li ... cat7230022

High rating at cheap prices and you get fuses and switches in one? Voltage rating total overkill but that doesn't matter?

Re: Old style smoke unit retain heating element

Thanks Stephen,

That sounds a very elegant solution. Will have to work on my "knitting" to make it look tidy.

Re: Old style smoke unit retain heating element

Thanks Adrian - I'll try and cobble something together then. I've also blown a few fuses with the connections to the element fusing on the brass tube.

Sorry Mark - I should have posted a picture really.

Old style smoke unit retain heating element

Hello,

At the moment the heating element is just held in by jamming it into the brass tube. Am I missing some way to make sure it definitely doesn't come loose? Seems like it could cause a lot of damage it comes out.

Great. I can benchmark your work against Steve Winstone's.

Re: Working early Tiger 1 headlamps?

Wow. We were going for stand off scale these might make the rest of the tank look a bit poor ;)

Does look outside our budget.

Working early Tiger 1 headlamps?

Hello,

Does anybody make working headlights for the early Tiger 1? We have some that came with the kit but they look too difficult to hollow out etc.

Are those the only external lights that were standard on the Tiger 1? I think we are basing our model on the 131.

Many thanks

Sam
