Re: The Time has Arrived... RPR's Rolls-Royce Build(s)!
Hi Robert, I can not take credit for the scrimshaw, I had the original powder horn by James Dixon, and an old friend who is no longer with us, scrimed it to the 95th Rifles

Re: The Time has Arrived... RPR's Rolls-Royce Build(s)!
great work Robert, it must be awesome to have worked on full size chassis, and not hunt for the allusive photo when trying to fabricate a piece, keep the pictures coming. it seems we modellers share similar interests, my powder horn http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL814/8865292/22916331/414406594.jpg...

Re: Paint stripper
Hi Mark, I had a problem removing paint from 1940s motorbikes, using modern traditional paint strippers, they have been made more user friendly but less effective, someone recommended Starchem paint stripper you can find this on that well known auction site, not user friendly and has health warnings...

Lancaster bomber
Found this 1/12 scale Lancaster last summer, it had been flown, but not crashed, all of the ic engines had been stripped out and cowls cut, the landing gear gone, wing servos had the wiring cut off, and perspex turrets damaged, but the original paintwork although scuffed looked good, its markings we...

Re: German type 21 Uboat
Hi John, yes it is the Robbe with dynamic diving, all systems working, I added working torpedo tube doors and lighting, but like all of my models they have to be functional although I never use them, just for show

German type 21 Uboat
during the summer while rummaging through antique shops in the Derby Dales I bought an intriguing brass plaque with details on U3008 a type 21 Uboat so I modelled a boat to go with the plaque http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL814/8865292/22916331/414350082.jpg http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL814/886...
