Re: Armortek Open Day 2019
The new electronics were good to see laid out and to hear it in operation.
The talks were a great addition to the day.
A good day out, many thanks to all who laid it on for us! Steve

Cobbaton Combat Collection VJ Week End
The Cobbaton Combat Collection in North Devon, south of Barnstaple, is a hidden gem of a small museum which has a very interesting collection of Vehicles and artifacts. It is really worth making a detour to if you are going to the south west. The occasion of VJ Day is the focus of this weekend event....

Re: TankFest 2019
I missed the heat, flames, and excitement of Saturday, I had to go to work, but Friday and Sunday was great! It was good to see a Panther and a Jagdpanther in action but for me it was very good to see a Churchill and Firefly running as well. Thanks must go to all, but I especially wish to thank Pete...

Looking at the Photo of Chris and I, we've been Tangoed! It was, despite the forecast,a good day with a few spots of rain lots of wind and when it was sunny, warm but otherwise quite chilly. A good day to escape to better weather than at home!

Re: Turret Bearing Upgrade
Vince, I have not as yet lubricated the bearing, as and when I think I will use a dry lubricant such as TF2 which contains PTFE beads. I don't want anything greasy or liquid oozing from the bearing!

Developing this idea, turned round sideways they could act as the end to have a nicely raised length of Bailey Bridge to run over?

Re: Armorpax upgrade Tiger I front hatch hinges
I have said this else where as a response to this announcement, but this has got to be a great upgrade for those of us with older Tigers. I have repaired white metal hinges twice, a hassle and a half! So a solid brass hinge is going to make a world of difference. An excellent thing to have produced ...

My problem is that there is a comments box that needs to be populated with something, which is a challenge to produce something that is appropriate!

Re: Spectrum Transmitter.
For those with more than one model, then my solution to the issue of using the Bind Plug with the Spektrum is to make up a Lead to replicate the Bind Plug but instead of a plain loop of wire, fit in a switch. This can be mounted in an accessible place on the Tank, the lead being as long as necessary...

Re: Turret Bearing Upgrade
Possibly because it is the sort of thing that Armortek leave to customers to work out for themselves, because they know it keeps us entertained working solutions out. The main thing is that Armortek will supply the parts to allow us to do these things under our liability. Who knows what each older m...

Turret Bearing Upgrade
The original upgrade, a nylon bearing: DSCN0277s.jpg Having seen the new Tiger with a lazy susan annular bearing and been impressed by how low a turning force is required I have worked how to retro fit it to my Early Tiger. Armortek Tiger 131 Construction Manual-43 Page 29.jpg I needed to order from...

Re: For that authentic desert paint job.
I presume it came out from the factory in Dunklegelb and then was finished off in the field by the rest of the herd? An excellent spit finish
