Hello Phil, you are really motoring now, I note that you are adding welds as you build.
Good idea, I wish now I had completed the welds on my Comet as the build progressed.
I am following your build with great interest......Mick

Thanks for the photo's lads....worth a thousand words....
I just can not bring myself to run my Comet over the lawn and rough ground.....my Iron Duke looks so spick and span.
I envy your hard working tanks, maybe next year

Hello Phil....yes, I am addng all the fine detail that got left behind in my hurry to have the Comet ready for the 'shows'. Bolts, welds, etc,. I do not plan on going beyond the 'Victory Parade Comet'. I feel quite satisfied with the build so far, and these final details will take the next few month...

Re: Futaba 7c
Hello Jan, I obtained my return spring kit, for my 7c, from Mikes Models, Kingstanding, Birmingham. He does mail order...Futaba Spring Return kit for ST 3G, part number Y-MA8036....most good model shops stock these kits. I found that control of the tank tracks so much easier when both sticks returne...

Re: A34 COMET
Nice work Phil.....I nearly had a heart attack the first time I moved the Comet off the table lift....that was when I decided to have return springs on both TX sticks. The control system is extremely precise....as you no doubt know by now the slightest stick move while climbing the ramps gives you p...

Hello again Phil, just to tell you that the 5amp fuse had blown in the PSU. I replaced it....the smoker is working well. I have rearranged the PSU for ease of access, and so the fuses are easily changed...bingo. The upgrade smoker in the Comet fits along the length of the hull, instead of across the...
Hello Phil, thanks for your advice. It crossed my mind that I should check the fuse first.....I guess I have blown one. I can reach the PSU after removing the turret...so no real problem. In case anyone else has this hiccup....I believe that when I fitted the heating element....I pushed it in tightl...
