Re: Maximizing Run Time?

I am also not sure which route is best. I did it the Gerhard way and happy with that. Either way, I think you will find that the height of the batteries/cells is a challenge. My charger is capable of pushing 54A into the battery. So if you opt for a smaller capacity, a ten minute pit stop goes a lon...

Re: Maximizing Run Time?

It is feasible, especially on a hard floor at an indoor convention. Grass drains the batteries considerably more. Smoke adds to the drain. My smoker draws about 3,5 A max and produces decent volumes. Sound can be a killer if you go all in. A friend of mine has some hundred W and it draws 11 A when t...

A turret was a dangerous place at all times, and if you did not watch out, the turret monster would get you.
It got both my tiger 1 forward deck hatches...

So most probably I will do another late turret ventilator just for fun.
I think the Vince Cutajar line would sell very well indeed. :D

W-o-w!

I like the hoses. I like everything, but have had quite a struggle with the hoses myself, so can relate to that. Did you make them yourself in some supersoft material? They look so relaxed?

Awesome!

As Adrian says, these are the symptoms of a battery emitting the last few electrons.

Re: Tiger build

Stephen is entirely wrong ! The tiger is not over-hyped at all. The tiger is the most interesting tank of all times. A zillion people have modeled it, but he is right that yours does stand out in every respect. And like the work of a true master, it seems so easy and effortless. Yet, if one tries to...

I also don't understand. That would increase the gap - not decrease it. Or?

Absolutely Vince!
This is a first class build that we have all been happy to follow. Thank you so much for spending the effort of explaining, documenting and presenting to us. It does make the build take about twice the time...
But you surely have a lot of followers now! :D

Per did have a build story here on the forum in the king tiger section. Unfortunately, the pictures are all gone, thanks to some derelict hosting service. If you spend hours and hours to make a build story, please don't make that mistake. Instead, UPLOAD the pictures to the forum for generatio...

Knowledge not shared is knowledge lost.
Indeed! The great violin builders in Cremona took their secrets with them in the grave. 200+ years later, we still have not figured it out.
