Can those metal plates be bought or ordered as an kit somewhere? The most important of them, in a rather generic fashion, will be part of the kit. Yachting stores have something called rubbing compound. It comes in coarse and fine grade and is designed specifically to make sun bleached and scratched hull or any other plastic shine. Maybe?
