Re: Annual tank meeting 2020 in Hausen (Germany)

Yeah, what a bummer! :( There is no end to the disappointments this year. We have to take heart in the fact that we are seeing a decline in Europe. It will continue to improve if we behave and stick to our workshops, diligently build on our models, not meeting anyone unnecessarily. We'll manage that...

Re: X51 Stickleback

Ha ha - awesome model! :D I have always argued that model tanks are very practical: They don't need a paved raceway They don't fall out of the air and crash They don't capsize and sink (ah, well... ) Oh, and the running cost is nothing! (compare with motorcycles, quads, boats, cars and simila...

Re: 2001 Tiger suspension help required.

Hello Guido! A lot has been written on how to make the older kits top notch (Klasse). Do spend some time looking for build logs on this forum - it will be time well spent! And do listen to Adrian's advice regarding adjustable suspension. I am inclined to think that it is not the torsion bars (Drehst...

Re: Fitting & Filing....

"He who dies with the most toys wins!" Although that's precisely right, we like to put that more elaborately to be less obvious. Like "senior modeler with ample experience"... The KT is a difficult model to make with its angles, thick plates and bent turret. I have found on my T1 that the fit ...

If you could see our dropping jaws, you would consider this to be really worth the effort compared to buying someone else's ready made product.
You are so modest, but keep surprising us with such beautiful parts!

Re: historical fake

Exactly that was the fact, in fact... The 2010 mid was quite anachronistic. There were issues on the turret roof as well. There was a loader's hatch from Armorpax enclosed that was nice, but did just not fit and was for a late model. I chose to backdate mine to an early model and Armortek hap...

Re: FrSky Teranis plus with Benedini encoder

"All aircraft people". Hm. Sounds like it would be time for tankies to challenge? Open source is there for coders to join. Or would we prefer to run our tanks in coordinated flight (aileron and rudder in harmony)? Or to deploy our slats and flaps before the gear (does that translate to aiming before...

You will get a lot of "heavy metal" for the money!
Take the opportunity to get the work area in shape! You will want good light, a way to lift your model, a way to organize parts, a bigger car - everybody will want you to show this impressive beast! :D
