Re: Tiger build

It's a fantastic model you have built, Mark. I will bookmark it as a reference and get back here a zillion times to check how you did it.
And thank you so much for the time you have invested in documenting the build for us to try to follow. My deepest bow! :D

Hm. Makes the results of my FDM printer, that can do 0,05 mm layers, look crude... :(
I think I know where this is heading...

Re: Fused power lead to control module

No, but cars have a "fusible link" from the battery for protection against wiring shorting out before the first fuse is reached. I am not aware of anything like that available for our world, but see it as a good idea, both to protect from fire and secure the rather serious battery investment these d...

Now, THAT's a warranty!

I got myself a voltage converter that did not live up to even half its specifications. Since it was a case of worthless engineering anyway, I sourced another locally and came across this one: IMG_6443_RESIZE.JPG Although it was more expensive and had lower capacity spec, it performs beautifully. Now...

Re: Annual tank meeting 2020 in Hausen (Germany)

Yeah, what a bummer! :( There is no end to the disappointments this year. We have to take heart in the fact that we are seeing a decline in Europe. It will continue to improve if we behave and stick to our workshops, diligently build on our models, not meeting anyone unnecessarily. We'll manage that...

Re: X51 Stickleback

Ha ha - awesome model! :D I have always argued that model tanks are very practical: They don't need a paved raceway They don't fall out of the air and crash They don't capsize and sink (ah, well... ) Oh, and the running cost is nothing! (compare with motorcycles, quads, boats, cars and simila...

Re: 2001 Tiger suspension help required.

Hello Guido! A lot has been written on how to make the older kits top notch (Klasse). Do spend some time looking for build logs on this forum - it will be time well spent! And do listen to Adrian's advice regarding adjustable suspension. I am inclined to think that it is not the torsion bars (Drehst...

"He who dies with the most toys wins!" Although that's precisely right, we like to put that more elaborately to be less obvious. Like "senior modeler with ample experience"... The KT is a difficult model to make with its angles, thick plates and bent turret. I have found on my T1 that the fit ...
