Re: Armorpax 25 Pdr Limber update set - taking orders

Hi Dave,
Do you have the UK postage for the metal brake lever for the 25 pounder, I would like to order one with my Limber set. I will place the order as soon as I know the full amount. Many thanks for a great set of extras.

Re: WW1 Tank Identity research

Steve,
Sorry but it looks like 2695 is a Female. (F) in brackets after number on Battle History Sheet. Maybe 2/Lt. Bond will show up later in charge of a Male tank.

WW1 Tank Identity research

I have just been down to Bovington again to peruse the archives, particularly with a view to identify specific tanks in the Battle history sheets. Using these I hoped to provide examples of Male and Female tanks to help those of you modelling the Mk IV in choosing an historical example to model. I w...

No tracks, no turret, I am starting to think that it is not a tank at all :?

Re: Mark IV 007 Build

Hi Steve,
Great to meet up today and see your Mk IV, it looked even better in the flesh than it does in the photos. I didn't realise you were working in such cramped conditions. Look forward to further updates and meeting up again in the near future.

Re: A 222 in Belgium...

Just looking at your excellent photos of your 222 and couldn't help thinking of the TV sit com Allo allo with Lt. Gruber and his 'little armoured car' then I noticed the photo with Gruber stencilled on it. :D
Great work,

Re: Wobbly wheels?

Boy do I feel an idiot, just noticed that you haven't got the retaining plate fitted in your photos, still I hope the measurements I took give you a comparison. Must look closer before commenting.

Re: Wobbly wheels?

On mine the retaining plate sits on top of the bearing outer race. I see from your photos yours seems to go over the bearing. My wheels wobble very slightly but I put it down to play in the bearing and fit to the axle. My axle measures at 0.470" and the bearing inner race measures at 0.472", so a 0....

Re: Mark IV 007 Build

Does any one know where we can get 1/6th scale electrical extension leads and sockets? :D Great log of your build. I took a large number of photos of the tank in the Lincoln museum of life a couple of years ago, A female, FLIRT II. Would you like me to send a CD to you? I don't do photo bucket or th...

Re: Mark IV 006

Hey you can go off of someone you know, especially when you live where it is raining and cold. I am enjoying reading your build log, great job. I hope to start my own build in a couple of months once the kitchen refurbishment is done and I finish my Limber. Might even make progress on my 25 pounder....

I'd take that option Dave, will it be available at the same time as the Limber kit comes out? Look forward to you being ready to ship.

Re: Suggestion s for new Kompact kits

Sorry to have taken us so far off topic, but I think using old Muffin the mule toys to pull a 13 pounder would look better than the Chinese horse. It's no good Gil, Mark is going to have to get watching war horse over and over and over until he works out how big G did his 1/1 scale motion packs. Gun...

Re: Suggestion s for new Kompact kits

How about a 13 pounder or 18 pounder and limbers to compliment the WW1 MkIV? I'd then like to see Mark tooling up for the horse team :D , would they be Kompact or Amortek? Serious about the guns though.

Re: The development of the tank - the Armoured Farmers' view

I strongly advise spending an hour reading some of the other stories on this site. My Saturday morning has been spent laughing my head off at the antics which rival many of my similar experiences on a Harrier squadron. Thanks for sharing the link Stephen.
