Re: Photos of the 251 from Bovington

Herman the German story was told to me ,as I lowered myself in to the the dark interior of Tiger 131 [some sense of humour people have]the story revolved around Tiger 1 up to the mid 1980's via staff /instructors. The myth moved on to the Sdkfz 251 ,when a visiting medium, had serious interaction wi...

Re: To rust in piece?

Excellent topic, our own Armortek Mythbusters, I had the same dilemma early last year and in the end studied heavy tracked plant at a nearby compound, and came to a similar conclusion, the Armortek tracks straight out of the box with a sympathetic paint wash, looks spot on . There`s still the thorny...

Re: Location check for Armortek owners.

Hi Les, I am about 80 miles away in Sth Yorkshire ,it would be good to gather these metal creations at a suitable site on a regular basis, without a 500 mile round trip, anybody else up for it?

Re: Centurion bin catches /bollards.

Toby,
I would accept £120 plus postage to cover my initial costs, and to refer to Steve Winstone`s post, he would be reluctant to make another batch of latches.Dave W

Centurion bin catches /bollards.

I have for sale 22 Steve Winstone bin catches [full set I think] and 4 bollards, new in packets .
I swoped Armortek projects, so they are now army surplus and too stunning to keep in a drawer , also I need to invest in more S. Winstone gems .

Re: Castellated Nuts per tank

I found another 10 are required for the front hull fillets, but you have to recess the plates ,there are some good photos from the Vimoutiers and Samur Tigers around. Dave W

Re: What will be Armortek's next new offering?

How about this for a cunning plan,Its got to be a Panther,no major tooling changes, it is certainly a popular afv, would bring loads of new members to the Armortek family, giving plenty of time to develop new kompact kits [Scamell please] and a new major project for Christmas [Churchill please].
