Re: Rivet tool

What's wrong with a hammer and dolly. I did all the rivets on my 251 that way.

Re: RC Newbie

Phil, i think you will find that the the motor controls from the receiver go in to plugs number 3 and 4 on the speed control module. Numbers 1 and 2 are used for the aux functions, that's probably why your winch motor is running as I notice you have got the receiver plugged in to number 1 socket. De...

Re: RC Newbie

My apologies Kian and Phil, that is probably the case. As a result of which Phil if you do decide to go for a Spektrum DX6 make sure it's not a DX6i.

Re: RC Newbie

Phil,

If you have no luck with the radio gear and you decide to buy a Spektrum DX6 be aware that the DX6 does not have any 3 way switches on the aux channels which means that sound selection will have to be from one of the sticks. Just a thought.

Re: Chieftain build by Phil Woollard.

Having built the Diamond T and trailer in 1/6th and with the Comet on board, that's nearly a quarter of a ton, I would love to build that one. I would also like to build the Faun in 1/6th but that with trailer comes out at 13ft 6" long and I expect this one to be longer.

OK thanks Pete. We just dismantled it from the museum today and it's now back at the Friberg house.

Re: Mick's Grant

Hi Mick,

This is a bridge I built quite a few years ago and we still use it at shows today although it looks a bit more battered now. It has been used on several occasions as a repair bench as many members on this forum will know.

Re: SW Model Show, Tank Museum, UK. 15/16 Feb

This is a 1/35th scale diorama of Operation Goodwood which took place in Caen in France in 1944. It was built by John Friberg in his attic over a period of many years. This is the first time it has been assembled completely and unfortunately John is not alive to see the fully assembled diorama as he...

Re: Batteries for the Chief

Probably off the subject but can anybody tell me if LIPO or LIFO batteries are re-cyclable because as I see it if they are not then with all the changes to electric vehicles etc what's going to happen to all the old batteries. As opposed to lead acid batteries which are re-cycable, just a thought. D...
