Re: Volute springs

Deoiling them is a must. For not just paint adhesion but also to prevent them becoming dust / dirt magnets. I use paint thinner in a bucket, after a few minutes and a few swishes it does a good job getting off the oil. Then once dried off they go right into primer, followed by paint. this will mitig...

Re: Armorteks next model

The ZY toys one is also a good option. The ZY one and the dragon one are the same quality because I believe the two are made on the same tooling.

Re: Armorteks next model

A Metal M2 and a bunch of US gear, a rare piece on evil bay, the postage though and import tax you may pay is deadly. just as a warning the DID M2HB is probably the worst rendition of this gun in 1/6. The gun is over scaled, details are soft, It's missing the bottom ejection port, the barrel carry ...

Re: Armorteks next model

I would say that reusing parts from previous models is what caused so many problems with the Firefly kit. From what I can remember the recycled bit that carried over and caused some complications was the rear engine deck area. The Firefly kit rear deck looked like the took the A3 kit plate and adde...

As announced, we will be making an M4A3 HVSS not the M4A2.
More images will be posted in the coming weeks when the design work is complete and we are ready.
excellent, glad you were able to clear that up!

Hopefully these are things that Kian can fix, with time before production starts?
which was why I asked before I reserve a kit

Re: Armorteks next model

Is that something that can be reworked before production Kian? The design looks brilliant, luckily its on a flat panel and that flat panel and possibly the rear exhaust being tweaked will make it a world beater! The conversion requires more than just the rear engine deck and the rear wall exhaust m...

Re: Armorteks next model

First off, Excellent release choices... Bravo! On the sherman is it going to be an M4A3E8, or an M4A2E8? I ask because I see the verbiage on the flyer stating it as an A3, but from the sample CAD image rendering the vehicle looks to be an M4A2E8. Clearly heavily inspired by the Bovigton "Fury&q...

Re: New King Tiger , Tiger I and T34 components.

Nice stuff, pity the postage cost are insane. That depends on what you order. Most EU / foreign orders ship for $15.00 - $30.00 USD. The larger heavier items are shipped from $50.00 - $100.00. Also generally when there is a shipping difference I refund that amount or use it for catalog credit. If y...

Re: New King Tiger , Tiger I and T34 components.

Since the last post I have been taking advantage of the down time to work on more detail parts. Many of these new parts are retiring older cast resin parts that have been on the catalog for a number of years. Starting with the King tiger, I have tooled up two new sets. these can be found on the King...

Re: New King Tiger , Tiger I and T34 components.

The CAD files for the cooling system are now done, and are now listed as a Pre order on the catalog http://eastcoastarmory.com/kingtiger.htm. Since the last time I posted images of the kit, more detail and fittings have been added. The parts are sold in kit form and come with all the features listed...

Re: New King Tiger , Tiger I and T34 components.

Update, A pre production fuel trailer arrived last month and was built / fitted to a tiger (although this may or may not be 100% accurate for this vehicle). The test unit assembled quickly but I saw some areas for improvement with the production models. http://eastcoastarmory.com/german_parts/german...
