Re: A 47 years old love
Frank, if you mean the bin on the glacis plate, it was for stowage of a hood for the driver which kept the worst of the rain and spray from blinding him when driving opened up. It was very rarely used.

Re: Setting up RC Systems
Keith, short answer is no significant difference. The DX 6G3 (Generation 3) is an eight channel Spectrum radio which a lot of us used. The DX6e is a budget version, This version does not come with rechargeable transmitter battery pack. There is no DX6i. The DX6 G3/e were superseded by the NX and IX ...

Re: Painting and weathering Maybach Panzer engines
Marco, I’ve abandoned expensive so called weathering products in favour of oils. I find them a lot more controllable, much more cost effective and enjoyable. Might be worth a go if you’re having problems with MiG.

Re: Armorteks next model
It's undoubtedly true that Wehrmacht panzers have a very wide appeal, not just in one sixth scale. There comes a point, however, where repetition starts to erode the market. Unless you're a particular devotee of German WW2 assault guns, it might seem a bit limiting to keep producing the same thing. ...

Re: OpenTx Radios
Adrian mentioned some of the best YouTube Channels for learning OpenTx, including Joshua Bardwell and Painless360. I use them a lot but it's not always easy to translate from their principle focus on racing quads to what we need. In addition to those, I've found myself relying a lot on this channel:...

Re: Receiver power
Jimbo The Rx power is provided from the Armortek Power Supply Module. The instructions will give you the connections. On the AR610 Rx, the polarity is marked against the Bind Plug socket. The signal pins are nearest to the centre of the Rx, the negative towards the edge. If you've any further questi...

Re: OpenTx Radios
OpenTx Why OpenTx? About ten years ago, the RC industry made a step change in technology, not only with secure, frequency hopping signal protocols, but also with adopting software defined operating systems. This mirrored what had happened with military communications twenty years ago. The old analo...

OpenTx Radios
This discussion topic covers radios using OpenTx (OTX) open source operating systems (OS). With Armortek moving to the Taranis X9D Plus as the new default radio, users will be using OTX and its software simulation and programming software, OpenTx Companion. Some owners are already using OTX to good ...

Re: Local Bailey Bridge
Great photos Charles. I’d leave calculating bridge classifications to clever people like Sappers but as a Tankie, I just want to know that It’s not going to collapse if I’m the second tank across. (The first generally gets away with it). I believe the length of unsupported span influences the bridge...

Hello Pete. Dennis Jones for SAG or the British Model Flying Assoc (BFMA) insurance is good. I've used them for years. Probably the same brokers since there only seems to be one in the game (Hiscox)
