Re: Chieftain build by Phil Woollard.

still loving every second of this build Phil, amazing work and so many hints and tips for those of us less gifted. Thankyou on behalf of the forum as a whole, those of us with Chieftains to build in particular.

As for the sidelights...... “yes please”, obviously :D

Cheers

Re: Chieftain build by Phil Woollard.

Phil, your build is compelling reading as usual. Really appreciate your posts, which are invaluable to us “amateurs”. Richard, I used this stuff on my Centurion, although the required profile wasn’t quite fully half round. It’s easy to lay these strips flat side down on sandpaper and achieve the pro...

Re: In memory of Gill Watkins

Such awful news- I’m absolutely gobsmacked. Like many of our community I was lucky to have met Gill in person on a few occasions. She was such a lovely person. I can’t begin to imagine how Mark, and their family, must feel right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult of...

Re: Chieftain Stuff

Dave, fabulous work. I'm a non server but several years ago a wise ass relative bought me a "surplus" bone dome for Christmas, tongue in cheek to go with me driving Armortek tanks. Anyway - with the real thing to hand, I can honestly say that your reproduction is pretty darned good. Well done. Is it...

I always thought there was a sprinkle of gunpowder in there as well  - but, never having served, how would I know ?
Me neither Chris. If it’s not a close guarded secret maybe the Tankies will confirm whether that’s true or myth. Wikipedia only gives the legal recipe :D

Great stuff Dave.
Re the BV, closed suits me but I’ll go with the flow. Looking forward to seeing the other projects as you get to them.
Also nice to know there’s some Cent stuff in the mix.

Thanks Youngjae.
Sounds like good news on the whole then and the tank assembly is proving mostly straightforward.
Keep up the good work

Re: Chieftain kit arrival

Hi Youngjae
The speed of your build is impressive and it is great to see the first of these Chieftains coming alive before our eyes. My question for you - how are you finding it? Is it going together well or have you had any issues?
Regards
