Re: Scariest jobs

Scariest Chieftain job for me was bleeding the FIP with OM15 on a dark night in Canada after we changed it. The L60 was not the kindest of engines in that department. Note to self afterwards, take the fan drive belts off before starting up. The airflow nearly dragged me into the fan.

Re: How to decoke an L60 :-)

If you count in the TN12 tow start mechanism and final drive reduction it is a pretty brutal tow start. The 55ton mass once its moving becomes a force in itself.

*First edition early Tiger 1 For sale.

Hi forum members. I got this kit back in 2009 but so far I have not got round to completing it as I ran out of steam. I have assembled the hull (No 24) but not installed the suspension. The turret is mostly assembled. It comes with the early addition motion pack and some of the late (Great) Mike Sta...

Re: Mike Stannard

So sad to hear of Mikes passing. I bought all his Tiger 1 mods a few years ago which were the icing on the cake for my model. A pleasure to deal with and always a positive reply if you needed advice.

A true craftsman and engineer

My condolences to Mikes family

Thanks Mike

RIP

Re: Kent`s Panther build

Hi Kent, I am one of your silent readers. Your Blog on your Panther build is always captivating, particularly when you come up with obscure information on French Panthers or Swedish King Tigers. The results you get with your Mr Dremel and improvisation are inspiring. Its reminded me to get on with m...

Re: For Sale ARMORTEK German Half Track (Sd. Kfz.7)

Hi Paul

Sorry to see you are selling your models I have a KT and know that a bit of you goes into its build.

I am interested in both your models. Is it possible you could send me some pictures of them.

Where in the UK are they?

Regards Graham
