Hi Dave, Great project. Glad hand on mend. Think your brass turnbuckles may have come from here: https://knupfer.info/shop/index.php/deutsch/gelenke-spannelemente/spannschloesser-g.html Knupfer's have a lot of very useful small parts for scratchbuilders, and provide a fast and reliable service. Alwa...

Re: My Beaut Aussie Cent

Stephen, A very nice finishing touch! Is the material nickel-silver aka german silver? I have been interested in using it instead of brass for a while. Can you experiment on the unused frets and report back if it can be annealed to soften for bending? Appreciate you would not want to blowtorch the a...

Re: My Beaut Aussie Cent

Stephen. A masterpiece, and a masterclass. Thank you for so diligently recording each step and sharing your wisdom, while doing so many other jobs to help the Armortek community. Top effort. Perhaps you could allow yourself the afternoon off? Look forward to meeting Phuoc Me in the flesh, as it were...

Hi Sherman owners,
Looking for two, three or four of the original Armortek black nylon/delrin return rollers. Any spares out there?
Please PM me.

Re: My Beaut Aussie Cent

Hi,
Lovely job Stephen. Dapping will rapidly work-harden the annealed blank, so worth annealing at each stage to reduce risk of splitting the edge.
Simon, disc-cutters and dapping/doming sets can be found at jewelry suppliers rather than from the usual model engineering bods.

Re: Steel 'Dolls House' hinges

Hi Adrian, If you put into Ebay/Google "brass plated dolls house hinges" you should be looking at steel products. The plating can be cleaned off with a steel rotary tool, or grit blaster or (if you are careful) Ferric Chloride etchant. If a brass hinge has distorted then it is worth heating it up an...

Re: Cheap rotary tool for sale

Thanks Stephen.
Pistol grip is a very handy add on.
Anyone seen a similar accessory for either Dremel or Proxxon mains powered units?
Or may just have to make one up from scratch...

Re: WW2 Tank Sim

Hi Graham, Steel Beasts Pro PE (Personal Edition)is the de-classified version of the full sim. It supports, depending on vehicle, TC, Gunner and Driver, and is used by various Armies as a networked virtual vehicle crew trainer. So three people could either be in the same vehicle developing teamwork ...
