Re: Chieftain Stuff

Hi All, Not far off finishing the "Bone Dome". A little more work and it will be ready for priming and then moulding. The Ear Cups will be seperate and I've done the lining so they slide on with the head, seems to work and just enough tension to hold everything in place. I've added some interior det...

Hi All, I have now got the Bone Dome shell to the shape I want and am ready to start detailing it. Top made for the Mk2 Clansman mount also. Re: Chieftain Stuff

Hi Stephen,

Yes should be able to. Might need to add a bit of your webbing but can still do the main components.

Best regards

Re: Chieftain Stuff

Hi All, Reasonably happy with how the flexi mounts are now casting. Still very slow setting compared to our normal resins and tear if I try and demould too quickly. That aside I think they will be available for sale very soon. Just need to confirm before I make the parts that the Clansman should be ...

Hi All,

Re: Chieftain Stuff

Maybe Steve but I've already sold some and not for Chieftains ;-) Sometimes its just because I fancy making something. The No2 burner was another ;-)

Re: Chieftain Stuff

Hi All, I've painted the lead and added a couple of yellow sleeves to each which appear on a number of on-line pics of leads. Based on the Marks post I can't see many people realistically having the BV open so will produce a solid version unless anyone feels an opening version is wanted? I'm going t...

Re: Chieftain Stuff

I'm going to have to complain to Ebay that that they don't do the right size wire in the right colour/sheen You won't get the wire with it anyway so you pick your own colours. I' can't now see the point in sodding about with thin detail castings making my own life difficult for no real reason so I'l...

Re: Chieftain Stuff

I have found some thinner wire on Ebay so I have corrected the lead to 4 cables rather than the 3 I had done originally. I have to be honest that making a solid look like water is much harder than making it look like Tea. Not really happy with the result so the lid is likely to remain closed now. Re...

Re: Chieftain Stuff

I am aware of the insert but chose not to add it, the BV has a moulded in liquid surface to make it more practical to cast and although it might not look like it in the pics it is supposed to be tea.......................................

I'll modify the lead when I get chance.

Re: Chieftain Stuff

Hi Stephen,

I thought from your descriptions at Bovi that the stuff in your BV looked like that :-)

Re: Chieftain Stuff

Hi All, New decals arrived from Peddinghaus while we were away last week so in between casting some of last weeks orders I decided to paint up a BV and oil drums etc. Cheers Dave https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Armorpax/PB033690.jpg https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/Armorpax/PB033691.j...

Re: Chieftain Stuff

Hi All, Almost there with the BV but eyes have had it for today. Just the lid rear locating pins and brackets to do and then the cable plugs.
