YES......How about the Continental R975 Radial to run the M4A1 Sherman tank.....two more items they’ll NEVER make!

Re: Armorteks next model

Sounds interesting, and how about a BMW Radial too for an FW190, or a large Pratt R-1830 as used on the P-47 Thunderbolt! As interesting as the Aviation theme sounds, the level of detail and need for accuracy exceeds Armorteks capabilities in my opinion. Building tanks with limited detail is one thi...

Re: Armorteks next model

Adrain, I like your line of thinking. I even proposed that Armortek could depart from its commitment to using all metal. There is a very “Solid” and durable means of using Cast Resin with Aluminum powder added that is “Bullet Proof” & It’s cheaper and lighter too! So, there are many ways around this...

Re: Armorteks next model

I appreciate your honesty regarding the M4A1. I must admit however, I am surprised that there is a lack of interest in such a prominent tank in the history of armored warfare....perhaps this will change? In regards to your being an Aeronautical Engineer. I have flown in the Air Force and American Ai...

Re: Armorteks next model

If Armortek is serious about making 1/6 Aircraft frames, how about the FW-190A8, or the ME-262? Since I haven’t seen any CAD drawings on how they would propose doing a Spitfire, the thought of them accurately rendering the thin stamped bulkheads and wing construction as on original A/C makes for som...

Re: Armorteks next model

It was a little over one year ago, that I posted my interest in the M4A1 (Cast Hull) Sherman tank. Many had “Chimed” in stating their interest too. I felt that the early version that was sold to England and named “Michael” would be the perfect available example to copy. It’s historical significance ...

Re: Sherman M4A1

To all who have “Viewed” this posting asking for a show of interest or support in Armortek offering us a model of the M4A1 Sherman tank, I just received a notice from Kian Schroff! He told me that the result of his survey “Just didn’t show the support” necessary for a build “AT THIS TIME”...So, alth...

Re: Sherman M4A1

Many people have viewed this posting since I asked if anyone was serious about showing Armortek their interest in having the M4A1 Sherman produced. However, nobody has “Chimed” in with a comment, either Pro or Con. So, may I ask again....”Is anyone other than me interested in demonstrating their int...

Re: Sherman M4A1

OK, just a thought here. The recent Armortek Famo transport models production was started due to a show of interest for such a model. There was also a pitch made by someone prior to the start of production to do a “Crowd Funded” show of support for such an endeavor. I am willing to put up an amount ...

Re: Sherman M4A1

AGAIN, TO ALL WHO VIEW....KEEP IT UP! I am very impressed at the “Volume” of “VIEWS” to this M4A1 thread. I am confident that Armortek is witnessing a definite show of interest in seeing this kit produced. I continue to be positive in thinking that this company will respond by giving us one of WWII’...

Re: Sherman M4A1

Hello all. I’m impressed that this M4A1 thread has so many “Views”. I have sent a message to Kian enquiring about the survey results, I’m still hoping that many of you have cast your vote for this particular model in the near future. So, if any of you are still interested....let’s at least give a “T...

Re: M3 Prototype Build

Adrian, Great picture of the Grant. It shows the very significant feature of the three piece bolted transmission housing to great detail! Perhaps it’s not too late for Armortek to add more bolts on this unit to a greater degree of accuracy as on the original. It’s such a prominent feature, it would ...

Re: M3 Prototype Build

Stephan, I totally agree. I would prefer that Armortek continue with the predominantly metal kits. Let’s make these the best that we can....even if we pay for those improvements! Eliminate rubber where it wasn’t used, get the Rivets correct for such a LARGE scale, put radiuses where they need to be....
