Re: Armorteks next model

Like I said, I’m cheering for Armortek to build it first....cause it (M4A1) WILL SELL! So many variations, so much history...YADA, YADA, YADA. Yes, I’m a fan of Armortek. I just wish they’d take a risk on my choice. Time will tell.....Tick, Tock.

Re: Armorteks next model

Well, That company....which shall remain nameless....is being watched very closely by friends of mine here in the States. It is (Appears to be at least) a radical departure from the usual high volume Chinese business model. Yes, after seeing the Panther kit...it’s awesome....They got it right! From ...

Re: Armorteks next model

Yes, I have personally seen them. High level of detail, museum pieces...but at a terrific price! So, I’d love to see Armortek take them on! They too go to Bovington, and are listening to what the WWII tank enthusiasts want. So, may the best company win! I personally am cheering for Armortek!

Re: Armorteks next model

That’s HORRIBLE! Trust me though, vandalism and disrespect for history occurs everywhere! Stephen, can I perhaps hold a little-bit of hope about the M4A1 ever being done since you were so close to it at your last visit....or did you just happen to need to use the Rest Room that was near by.. ...

Re: Armorteks next model

Upon further inspection....it appears too small to be an M3 Barrel. Hey....why don’t I just “Shut Up”....and Wake Up.....and just view the tank pics :P !

Re: Armorteks next model

Stephen,
What in Heavens Name caused the Catastrophic Rupture of the M3 Barrel in that display case sitting besides Michael?

Re: Armorteks next model

Stephen, Oh, “Be still my beating heart”! I won’t bother to belabor my thoughts on this so historically relevant tank. Instead....just look at those beautiful lines! Yes, you are in possession of the oldest (Second I believe produced of that series) known M4A1 produced....named after Michael Dewer (...

Re: Armorteks next model

How about going a slightly unique different route, but staying in the “Armor” theme. Any thoughts or interests in doing highly detailed turrets....with accurate interiors....that could be used in static display on a fabricated wood or metal display stand as was used in the factories? This might incl...

Re: Armorteks next model

Well, I guess I’m still disappointed in my desire to see an M4A1 Sherman tank. I don’t think that it would be a model that couldn’t garner enough interest to sell (Although I was told it didn’t rate in the Survey....but wasn’t listed as a choice?)....rather, that it’s considered too difficult to be ...

Re: Armorteks next model

Yes, they are well on their way producing a kit that fits their desire. It’s fun doing a survey....but to the degree it’s feedback is well received and drives the next kit.....Unfortunately, I have my doubts.

Re: Armorteks next model

YES......How about the Continental R975 Radial to run the M4A1 Sherman tank.....two more items they’ll NEVER make!

Re: Armorteks next model

Sounds interesting, and how about a BMW Radial too for an FW190, or a large Pratt R-1830 as used on the P-47 Thunderbolt! As interesting as the Aviation theme sounds, the level of detail and need for accuracy exceeds Armorteks capabilities in my opinion. Building tanks with limited detail is one thi...

Re: Armorteks next model

Adrain, I like your line of thinking. I even proposed that Armortek could depart from its commitment to using all metal. There is a very “Solid” and durable means of using Cast Resin with Aluminum powder added that is “Bullet Proof” & It’s cheaper and lighter too! So, there are many ways around this...
