Re: Engine Intake Grill Covers

I had the same thing happen to me when I got their Tiger 1 rear mudflaps. No instructions, but then I noticed that the original 6th Scale Icons instructions where part of the photos on their website. So I guess in your case have a look at the 4th photo on the right here: http://www.fieldofarmortank...

Re: Engine Intake Grill Covers

I ordered a set of Engine Intake Grill Covers from Field Of Armor and promptly received them. I have seen this kit before, and there was a set of instructions with it. Mine didn't come with a set of instructions. It's easy enough to figure out, but out of curiosity; I would like to see a set of inst...

Engine Intake Grill Covers

Does anyone know if the Engine Grill Covers sold by "6th Scale Icons" / Field Of Armor Tanks fit the Armortek Panzer III ? Anyone have any insight into the company: Field Of Armor Tanks? They haven't responded to my messages. I need Engine Grill Covers for my Armortek Panzer III and I'm a ...

Re: LB Panzer III build (2018/11)

The Panzer III is essentially done.
The Motion and sound modules are installed and operational.
I just have some details to add (Tow ropes, lights, etc.)

Re: Difficulties with motion pack A

Jerry,
Have you tried swapping the plugs for the Main Drive Motor 1 and Main Drive Motor 2?
It probably won't correct the problem, but if the problem persists on a different motor; you will know it's not an issue with a motor.
If the problem persists with the same motor; it's a motor problem.

Re: Panzer III Elevation Limit switches

I tested the Barrel Elevation today. It works perfectly. When the leadscrew hits the end of travel it automagically stops. I was also worried how the throttle stick would act because it's usually one direction: forward for faster, pull back for slower. When put in the center, the stick functioned: f...

Re: Panzer III Elevation Limit switches

I had the same question when I was doing my 2017 Tiger 1 and did not see the usual limit switches in the elevation wiring loom. Have a look here bottom of the page: https://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6937&p=66171&hilit=thermistor#p66171 With the new red electronic bo...

Panzer III Elevation Limit switches

I'm working on installing the Elevation Components for my Panzer III.
I don't see anything that limits the upward and downward movement of the Barrel.
When the leadscrew Nut hits the end of travel, it bottoms out on the Elevation Slide.
Doesn't this stress the motor?

Audio Module multiple Channel input?

I just finished bench testing the Motion and Audio Packs for my Panzer III. They work great. But I was thinking: There is one channel (Gear switch B) for all of the sounds (except motor acceleration). Consequently, you need to toggle the Switch B to trigger the desired sound. That uses only 5 channe...

Re: LB Panzer III build (2018/11)

I just Bench Tested the motors and sound system. I'm using a Spektrum DX8 Transmitter with a AR8010T Receiver. I set it up for single stick control using instructions I found in this forum. Initially, I had the yellow wires going to the red marked terminals on the motors and the Blue to the unmarked...

Re: Floor orientation and mounting

Hello Les, I put 2 countersink bolts M4 in each support through the bottom and 2 countersink M4 bolts through the batterie tray in each support. I fix the bolts only in the 3 supports, not in the suspension bars. So the total of bolt used 6 through the hull into the supports and 6 bolts through the...

Re: Floor orientation and mounting

Yves, Thank you for sharing. Do the bolts that hold your battery tray go through to the supports and secure the floor? Or, do the bolts secure the battery tray to the floor and the floor just slides into place? I see no examples of builders securing the floor to the Suspension Bars. Is it necessary ...

Floor orientation and mounting

I am about to install the floor in my Panzer III. The floor has four holes. 1. What is the orientation of the floor based on the holes? Do the holes in the middle go towards the front as noted in my picture? 2. What are the holes for? It appears that most people secure the electrical components and ...

2018 Panzer III Turret assembly

I'm confused about the assembly of the Turret Bearing. I have been looking a previous posts, and some show the assembly of the Turret bearing with Part number CL0403. My 2018 Panzer doesn't have a CL0403 (Not in the parts list, assembly instructions, and not in the box). So it looks like they modifi...
