Re: Armorteks next model

A functional anti-mine flail for the Sherman!

It could do double duty as a roto-tiller in my garden or dispatch overly aggressive weeds in the corner...

Re: Armorteks next model

For many years I have been fascinated by the schwerer panzerspähwagen acht-rad (8 wheel heavy armoured car) predominantly operated by the Panzer aufklärungs abteilung from the early Sd.Kfz.231/232 to the later more advanced Sd.Kfz.234 series the latter has lead to the development of most modern day...

Re: Rivets

Hanson Rivets ( kudos to my pal Ray G) has a dazzling array of rivets, squeezer dies and all manner of rivet paraphernalia. I just ordered
both squeezers and longer 3/32 rivets for my M3 work. If possible I prefer to mechanically bind the rivets not glue..

Re: Mick's Grant

The Motor mounting instructions call for a plain washer and split shake-proof washer. This is bad engineering practice. One does NOT use a washer and split washer together, the bolt will turn the split washer which turns the plain washer thus negating the effect of the shake-proof split washer. To ...

Just a little scubbing needed....

Can't really learn much from the few photos included but the manufacturer's plate is interesting, at least to me...

Sd.Kfz10 uses the same running gear and chassis as Sd.Kfz.250 Ausf A

Personally i would like the Sd.Kfz.234/1 Puma 8 wheel heavy armoured car.
Oh yes I'd second the Puma any day of the week and twice on Sunday... followed by a Marder III, Lynx and GMC CCKW 2½-ton 6×6 truck...

Re: Hex Head Bolts - Source in USA

For metric sizes your best going outside the US. It isn't as bad as you might think and they arrive fairly quickly. I'd love a reliable source for metrics in the states but I don't see it happening anytime soon. MVD will send to the US, I just sent in an order to them a few weeks back https://modell...

In light of all the insightful comments all I can come up with is what color scheme and which paint are you going to use?

Another real Hetzer

I will offer these photos as an additional resource. This was Littlefield's Hetzer. I'm afraid I never asked the pedigree whether or not it was a ex G13 ( although I expect so) so there it is. The 'hands' in the photo holding the tape measure were none other than those of my old late friend Per Sonn...

Jerry and the M3

Hello all. This will be my first attempt at a brief article to cover some aspects of my M3 assembly. I've been lurking about so to speak placing the odd comment here and there but few that are vehicle specific. I have noted that there are quite a few very advanced, very capable builders, constructor...

Re: Panther/Kingtiger/Jagdtiger, PzIII/Stug III engine hatch hinges

Did my email arrive Mark? Email in and out of the colonies seems to have been a bit wonky of late. I'm sure I've been driving my non American friends crazy with 'did you get it yet?'; 'did you get it yet?' Makes already impatient Yanks see even more so. If you didn't receive the email I'd be pleased...

I have 2 Turnigy 9x transmitters and a 9x Super that are all on ERTx and I love the flexibility to make any control interface do anything you want. My trainer switch is a light selector switch for a Benedini Mini. I have a FrSky Taranis which is on OpenTx... I've downloaded and modified versions of ...
