Have not had any problems with my gearbox so far, although I've not pushed it too hard,just running up and down smooth surfaces and going up ramps. When moving off I always apply a little throttle first before I push it to the max.
You're too kind John! Compare to yours and others build mine is pretty mundane, but I put this beast together from 5 boxes of bits and I feel really good about it.

Hi have you tried changing to two stick control instead of single stick mixing control? I encountered the same problem when setting up the motors. I only have a basic non computerized transmitter and the motors seems sluggish,so I tried separating the control to two sticks and the motors now runs at...

I was tempted to have the split pins on the inside and the flat head on the outside because it would look slightly more scale. But I kept the split pins on the outside simply because it's easier to inspect for broken or missing pins.

Don't happen by any chance have a chieftain hull floor and a hull rear plate knocking about? Thought about doing the v shape correction on the hull but chickened out in case I messed up the original parts.
