Beginning of electronic installation

So, it's finally tank weather again down here in Houston (it's getting hot) so I am trying to get the electronics installed and setup. I have the drive system going in the correct direction and am using the single stick method. However I am hearing something in the drive train that probably should n...

Re: Adam's Panzer III build

After working for about 12 days straight, I finally got to sit down and make a bit of progress this weekend. She's starting to come together again! I'm now working on the upper sections of the tank; lining everything up, loctiting everything together, filling holes, sanding, painting etc. https://i....

Re: Armorteks next model

The Chieftain would be a great project that I'd love to do. I just don't think I have it in the budget for this year. Oh well, at least I have a King Tiger to look forward to.

Re: Spectrum Transmitter.

Sweet, quite a few of us have the same Transmitter/receiver setup. I ended up getting the same DX8/AR8010T combination so it will be nice to have others in case we need help troubleshooting. One of my next steps is to start bench testing my electronics.

Re: Novice Late Tiger Build.

Glen,

What are the dimensions of that lift table? I'm trying to decide between a couple right now, my P-III is pretty small (relatively) but the King Tiger I ordered has me thinking I may have to go really big.

Re: Adam's Panzer III build

It’s been a busy few weeks but I finally got a chance to get the lower chassis painted. I’ll let it cure over the week then start reassembling.

Re: Brian's 2017 NO. 10 LATE TIGER 1 BUILD

Ready for paint http://i.imgur.com/JsDbwVZ.jpg Brian, I think I'm going to have to get a cart like that with the jack and wood offsets. I actually already have 2 jacks like that for ATVs, I just have to get the cart from Harbor Freight. I imagine the PIII is about to get pretty heavy and I just put...

Arms and Wheels Painted

I finally got the control arms and wheels done (before weathering), now it’s time to start getting the main body torqued up, filled and painted.

Re: Adam's Panzer III build

You know, I'm really actually liking the green of my primer oddly enough. I may do the next one in that color even though it may not be a traditional color.

Priming and painting

I primed the suspension arms and I think it looks good! I’ve started painting the wheels with an airbrush paint. I may look to try to match using an auto paint, it may be cheaper. Anyone done this?

Re: Adam's Panzer III build

So I’ve tried out a few different filler compounds now (Milliput, JB Weld, Bondo) and I’ve settled with the Milliput. I’m currently finishing the suspension arms and even attempted a weld. What do you think? Too much weld or am I overthinking? https://i.imgur.com/okBUltF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/KwwF...
