Re: Pete's Grant No.9

Pete Overcame the bushes fit with a good clean up and overnight in the fridge. But as you mentioned earlier I'm a little worried that it might squeeze the bush so fitting the shafts might need work now. Looking way ahead have you or Chris tried fitting the 37mm gun tube (EN0458) into the inner mantl...

Re: Pete's Grant No.9

Pete

Next problem for me is the Radius pins ED0106 Not quite hitting the recess in the Bogie frame EN0104. Not sure if its an alignment or Diameter issue. Too nice a day here to investigate though, so its primer day on some of the parts I think needs priming before assembling.

Re: Pete's Grant No.9

Hi Pete Did a couple of road wheels as well today. Same problem. But got around it by just putting an 8mm drill bit through the bushes. Did it by hand i.e didn't put the bit in a drill. A couple of minutes a bush and finally alls is well. I seemed to have a bigger problem fitting the bushes in the w...

Re: Chris’s M3 project

Hi Pete Good to see I wasn't the only little boy as excited as waiting for Santa! You beat me, I didn't pick mine up till Friday, so I guess you'r way ahead in the build. I agree about the turret, took me by a little by surprise, one mighty chunk of machined aly. So for me spot of lunch, then page 1...

Re: Pete's Panzer III 006

Hi Pete There is a similar topic at the end of 'Oli's build and question thread'. He and myself seem to be at a similar point in the build, but I haven't tightened the suspension yet so not had any weight on the torsion bars. I was considering fitting a star washer, so its nice to know that was how ...

Re: Gun elevation problem

Hi Pete Many thanks. Looks like it is a simpler solution than I thought. If it is just that top corner thats fine, I thought it was the bottom fowling as well. Nice to be re-assured before I set about cutting pieces off! I was worried I was going to have to attack the turret. And i now know what Sun...

Re: Gun elevation problem

Hi Adrian

Thanks for trying but the difference between the Stug and the tank are considerable in that area. It looks like the way the gun is connected to the stationary parts in the hook/turret are different.

Gun elevation problem

Hi all. Anyone else having problems fitting parts for the gun elevation as part of the motion pack? The main problem I seem to have is motion pack part CL0489, Elevation slide, fowling with the interior contours of the turret. It doesn't appear to be just needing an edge filing off to allow it to fi...

Re: An hello and roller assy question

Apologies to Oli for failing to reply to your question from about a month ago. I'm going to go with the Loctite solution but am waiting until I can put the tracks on to actually fix them, just so I can see how everything lines up.

Re: What tank would you like Armortek to make?

How about one of Hobarts funnies?

Or if staying with more traditional tanks I'd like a Lee/Grant or Crusader III
