Re: Early or mid ? Tiger 1 build by Phil Woollard

Hi Phil, I’m following your smoker unit “mods” with interest. I did a lot of work on mine.... opening the bore of the outlet adaptors, aligning the ports and “gas flowing” them, if you know what I mean? The results are quite impressive, the increase in flow resulting in a “proper job” smoke screen! ...

Re: Tom's King Tiger Build 2019 Hull 53

Hi Simon
Thanks for the information and advice. There’s slightly slack, which is acceptable.... and undriveable slack! Just needed that little bit more available adjustment!

Hi Tom,
Ah, seems like “great minds think alike”! Good to know that we are “on the same track”!!

Re: Tom's King Tiger Build 2019 Hull 53

Hi Tom, It’s looking good, well done! How did you find tensioning the tracks? I found that minimum tensioning wasn’t enough to take a link (1&1/2 links really) out and max tensioning, even with the longer tensioning bolts, wasn’t enough to obtain some tension. I’ve resorted to altering the angle of ...

Thank you very much Tom. I’m sure yours will be great, camo is so individual, anything goes really? Good luck with your build!

Not sure, because the pictures are not 100% clear on my IPad, but is the logo last letter an “x” instead of a “k”?

Re: Caps, shirts, jackets and more

Hi Kian and Monique.
Can you please clarify the “actual chest” measurement please?
The body length and arm length measurements are self explanatory, but the actual chest numbers (given in cms) don’t make any sense (to me!)
Thanks!

Re: Tom's King Tiger Build 2019 Hull 53

Hi Tom I too had banana shaped hull sides and jumped up and down on them... but unfortunately not heavy enough to make an impression! Not having equipment to straighten them meant filing the decking to suit the bend. Also had to modify the track tensioner on one side to aligne the tensioner bolt wit...

Remember the film “Jaws”?... You’re gonna need a bigger... car!
Enjoy the build

Re: Fitting & Filing....

Great advice and very well written Christoffer! Thinking logically with a good helping of common sense and using the process of elimination should be successful in solving most problems! The main issue with the KT is the size and weight of the hull components, wrestling with these can be frustrating...

Re: Fitting & Filing....

I was a mechanical fitter/maintenance engineer all my working life, all I’ll say is that all those years of experience have come in very handy on this build, including filing, re drilling and yes Robert... body filler!
