Re: Spektrum Failsafe

Hi guys, I don't like to disconnect batteries when not in use, because they are connected with screws. Therefore I installed charge sockets and a control board with LEDs to signal if batteries are connected with any load. With the charge sockets I can test battery voltage. The blue main switch is al...

Re: Whats in your sound system?

Hi Richard, in Germany we like to use the Beier sound module USM-RC2 with our tanks; beside the modules of Thomas (Benedini). The benefits of the USM-RC2 I already named in the transmitter thread: - up to 5 gears forward and reverse - automaticly differencing between cold and warm start - 30 additio...

Re: POLL: What transmitter/ Receiver do you use

Hi all, in the last few days I bought 8 cells of LiFe(PO4) with 20 Ah. They are the 3rd pack of LiFes I use in a tank, and I think that the acquisition costs now become tolerable. Previously I had 2 lead acid (AGM) batteries with 12 V and 24 Ah, and I had paid 144 €. Now I replaced it after only 2 y...

Re: POLL: What transmitter/ Receiver do you use

Hi guys, please remember that the German Beier sound module can store several hours of sounds at 44 kHz / 16 bit at its mikro SDHC-card. E.g. I use it for background music in "pauses in the fighting". You have 30 sounds which are individually controllable, 30 more sounds in a "WAV-player" with forwa...

Re: POLL: What transmitter/ Receiver do you use

In my opinion software defined radios are the future for modellers who need rather complex solutions for steering high sophisticated airplanes. Thomas Benedinis rotary encoder however seems for me a little old fashioned. When using modern sound option modules like the Beier USM-RC2 one has up to 5 g...

Re: Had a broken gear on 2003 Tiger 1

Hi Steen,

if it was mine I would try to drill 3 holes centered between gearwheel and axle (using a tungsten carbide bur) and press 3 short bolts in the holes. After grinding and polishing the bolts the work should be done.

BTW, you can't have both recoil and blank firer.
Exactly what Adrian says.
Dangerous and illegal.
Just a question: why is it illegal to use a blank firer together with recoil, when the blank firer alone is legal?

Re: My FPV Setup

Hi all, please keep in mind that these ranges are free-to-air ranges, not ranges directly at the ground. But the range is only one criterion for a safe driving with FPV. A comrade of mine tried FPV with his Jagdpanther early in 2014 with 100 mW (in principle not allowed in Germany). The tank was abo...

Just a question: I mean formerly there existed a gallery, showing customer built models online. Is it intended to restart such a gallery?

Re: Annual tank meeting 2019 in Hausen am Bach

Hi Pete, answer by Reinhold: he doesn't know a dedicated campside for motorhomes nearby, but Hausen is a little village, which should allow a motorhome to be parked in the environment, if it doen't need electricity and water. If you come as an active member with a tank model or more, then Reinhold w...

Re: Spectrum Transmitter.

Just a little addition: I didn't think about a self singing crew ( :D ), but a crew listening to news coming from tank radio equipment, consisting of military orders, newsreel infos and music. E.g. the Beier sound module allows to use self generated accidential sounds, which are emitted au...
