Re: Renault FT17

This is a brilliant model, congratulations. The FT17 is my number one for Armortek to offer some time soon too. You are a highly skilled engineer to build this from base materials.

Re: Universal carrier at Pozieeres

Stephen, thank you for you comments. Bit of a delay because I was looking for my notes and photos. I saw the bullet damage in 2008 when I was guided there by Mike Boyatt who was living in Flers. On checking I read he said there were tank traps at the exit from Poziers and the gun was an 88. Here is ...

Universal carrier at Pozieeres

On a visit to the Tank Corps Memorial at Poziers I was shown a few bullet holes in the bronze models of WW1 tanks. The story was that during WW2 the Germans had an anti tank gun alongside this memorial pointing down the D929 Albert - Bapaume road controlling the exit from Pozier village a few hundre...

Re: Fascinating Video of M3 Production

Brilliant film of heavy engineering. Out of interest does anyone know what version of the tank is seen on the last few frames as they drive away from the range, one has a box shaped structure in place of the upper turret?

Fantastic work. Do you have a workshop with tiny workers producing these items? My sausage fingers could not stitch such small leather items.

Re: CHIEFTAIN

No doubt the choice of this new model has pleased a lot of people but for those who cannot afford over £5000 it would be nice to have a new 'Kompact' model some time? Anyway I look forward to the build notes on the forum when it is released.

Re: And so it begins... RPR's Engine Build

Sorry if this is a daft question but with all the work you are doing on the engine how much more would be needed to make it fire up and run?

Re: Help needed

I have not used this method on a model but for my bikes you can use a long bolt and nut (M6?), a washer the same diameter as the bush housing, a tube larger than the bush (I use a suitable socket for a socket wrench) assemble all this to pull out the bush as you tighten the bolt/nut. If you are care...

Re: Armorteks next model

FT 17 or a bren gun carrier for those of us who do not have deep pockets. The would make wonderful models in the Kompact Kits.
