Re: Engine L60 for Chieftain

Thanks Stephen, some photos were already in my possession. On the coolant tanks I read this: quite right LML TD FV 530065 C 1898 left LML TD FV 860181 C 2028 under these numbers I see three circles united. Below them, two other engravings that I do not distinguish. So I need to know what's written o...

Re: Engine L60 for Chieftain

Hello to all,
is someone able to tell me exactly how it is written?
Are there any other labels on the top of the engine or filters that I can reproduce in decals?
Thanks Ivano

Re: New engine for King Tiger and Jagdtiger

The sirocco fan is almost finished, I will complete it later. Now, I will skip the assembly stages of those engine components that have no particular difficulty in assembling. It is very difficult to make mistakes because all the pieces are packed with their respective bolts. Anyway, if you have dou...

Re: New engine for King Tiger and Jagdtiger

Left side:
i'll show you what you should never do, I've always said and keep saying that before gluing you always have to check many times that everything is aligned. I didn't do it and that's the result

Re: internal details turret Tiger1

It has nothing to do with the inside of the turret, but I didn't want to create another topic. Among the many drawings I found a job that I had done 3 years ago but that I had never printed. The muzzle brake. The measurements are those found on the David Birden website (information on tigre1). It is...

Re: New engine for King Tiger and Jagdtiger

On this topic, it would be interesting to read the opinions and ideas of those who have already assembled the engine. I hope someone wants to participate in this interesting discussion. Thanks Ivano

Re: New engine for King Tiger and Jagdtiger

Hi Michael, as I replied to Alastair, I did not design the engine to be cut. Of course it can be done but I can't guarantee the final result. If you cut in the center of the engine, almost all the pieces on the sides need to be cut and I don't think this will lead to significant savings. If you cut ...

Re: New engine for King Tiger and Jagdtiger

You may have noticed that all the sirocco fan is not aligned with the engine mount or the flywheel, IT IS CORRECT Maybe in my description I say trivial and obvious things, but for newbies I hope they can be useful. Please, if it is not clear what I am writing, tell me. I remind you that I use the Go...

Re: New engine for King Tiger and Jagdtiger

The P30 differs from the P45 in the presence of the sirocco fan on the back. After this first assembly phase and before continuing, I suggest painting the internal parts. But do as you wish
