Re: Goliath Thread -- Who wants one?
A 1/6 scale Goliath would be pretty small - about the size of a 1/16 tank at a guess. Ive seen 3d print files for them in various scales but a 1:1 working version in metal interests me. Id say it would be fairly straight forward to build once you have the sprockets and track links figured out. The o...

Re: Cast Texture
I have used a product called Mr Surfacer. It is pretty good but dont breath the fumes so plenty of ventilation required. I now make my own because it is a lot cheaper and easier to get. Get a tube of Humbrol plastic model filler and some Humbrol liquid poly glue. Empty the contents of the tube into ...

Re: Goliath Thread -- Who wants one?
I have to agree with you Stephen. As far as a model tank is concerned it is pretty boring and the majority of existing Armortek owners would not be interested. However, as a re-enactor who has an interest in such things i would like to own one to be operated at events to demonstrate how it worked. I...

Re: Goliath Thread -- Who wants one?
Hi Gerhard, I remember seeing that Leopard 1 at Munster a few years ago.
I took LOTS of pix of it. It was incredible to see, but dont think I'd shell out 50,000 Euro for it.

Re: Goliath Thread -- Who wants one?
I have also been surprised that it has received this much traction Jack. Don't despair tho about your cast hull m4A1 Sherman and remember the Famo. This was a beast that was muttered for a good number of years and the reply from Armortek at that time was always a firm NO. However, persistence paid o...

Re: Steen's Hetzer
The Stug 3 was on my wish list but then i also wanted a Panzer III and there were no Stugs available when i wanted one. Having spent the last couple of years rebuilding my Panzer III, i don't really want to do most of that work again to build a Stug. So, the plan is to try and sell the Panzer III in...

Re: show your Warrooms and workshop 1/6
I must admit that my garage looks like a bombs gone off after a its been used as a fly tippers dumping ground. Over the years ive found it almost impossible to keep tidy and is stuffed full of 1/6 and 1/16 tanks, bikes, workshop equipment and all my re-enacting gear. I am very impressed by some of t...

Re: Goliath Thread -- Who wants one?
Hi all, I put the full sized Goliath as a request on my on my survey. Dont know if anyone else added it but for me it would be a great addition to the Armortek range. Firstly it is a 1:1 scale model which would be a first for them and secondly, i am a WW2 re-enactor who would love to have one of the...

Re: Two new UC builds
It was a superb win over the Old Enemy Dennis. Controversial maybe, but a win all the same. It almost makes up for that other French Ref who destroyed our World Cup dreams back in 2011. Nice to see you progressing with the UC and also nice to see some shots of the electrics and control components. I...

Re: Tim's Panzer 111 project
Had a few productive hours in the garage today. I now have, at long last, noises coming from my Panzer3 speaker. The original Armortek TBS5 & Amp that came with the tank continues to defy my and refuses to make any noise. It did work when i first got it but stopped when i tried to change it to Encode...

Re: Video of the Universal Carrier running
Could UCs really turn that sharply? It looks a bit like some of those Chinese Heng Long 1/16 tanks the way it turns. I would expect this to be less severe in mud or grass but I think i would be wanting to turn down the rates a bit to make the turns less sharp otherwise the crew would be thrown overb...

Re: Lifepo4 Battery
Is it recommended to go for a single 24v pack or 2 12v packs. I can see that the single 24v pack will be cheaper and easier to manage. I assume that the principles remain the same as with lead-acid batteries in that a pair of 12v/20ah batteries will give 24v/20ah when paired. Obviously the Lifepo4 p...

Re: Tim's Panzer 111 project
I have been doing a bit of work on the wiring inside the tank this week but no pix with this post. The front headlights have been wired in with a simple on/off switch mounted inside behind the Radio Operators hull escape hatch. The Drivers escape hatch has been fastened shut but can be opened from t...
